Viva Marinha Hotel & Suites    

The room was lovely. Staff were quite helpful. Free shuttle bus into the town. The pool was in a lovely garden area with trees.

Too far out of the town for convenience. Though it was self catering, had to taxi into the town to get supplies. Had to use the shuttle bus when it was available. Otherwise had to use a cab which never had a babyseat. Seemed to have too few staff. The food in the restaurant was quite poor, but we had to use it at times with the baby. Would not recommend this if you have children. There was no real defined bar area. The cafe doubled as bar.No atmosphere really.I would not rate it 5 star but probably 4 star.

Really nice hotel, great rooms, and staff were very nice. Location is about 5 miles or a €7 euro taxi from town, so that could add up over a week, but great hotel to relax in. If you have car, it a good base to visit local beaches etc. Overall, very relaxing stay (Sep 2012)

I visit Cascais regularly and always stay at the Vivamarinha Hotel. The suites are roomy, elegant and comfortable. The pool and garden areas are beautifully landscaped and well used by hotel guests of all ages. Food is excellent. The multilingual staff members are efficient, attentive and friendly, even when very busy. The location is quiet - woods, golf courses, country club mansions - but 30 minutes from Lisbon and the airport, 10 minutes from Cascais, 5 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean and 2 minutes from a variety of premium golf courses. But bring your own transport.

A peaceful hotel (although we were unfortunate to pick a Harley Davidson rally weekend) although a large hotel it didn't give a crowded impression. Staff were extremely helpful. Room was nicely situated to catch the sun.

Hotel was too far from the beach. The restaurant menu was not varied enough.

Loved the luxurious feeling, rooms that looked as though they'd come out of a glossy magazine. Wonderful having a balcony that looked out over woodland. The grounds were lovely to walk around. It was great to swim in the pool and look out at the trees. And very good value for money. Particularly economical to eat lunch and dinner there compared to local restaurants.

It was quite a long walk to get from our room to reception and the breakfast buffet could be a little hectic. But these are niggles the whole experience was lovely.

We are repeat customers at the Viva Marinha, and each time our stay has been delightful. The suites are spacious, elegant, comfortable and practical; the staff is friendly, courteous and helpful; the setting and grounds are gorgeous.

Not near the town or public transportation. You should really have your own transportation to fully enjoy being here.

150 qm family suite very comfortable. outdoor pool clean and not crowded. excellent sport area with high-end technogym. polite staff in all areas. at restaurant: good food, fair prices, experienced both excellent and really bad service there. hotel offers free-of-charge shuttle in the area but not to the airport.

no wifi in rooms, only at the lobby which is not up-to-date and not acceptable.

The comfort is fabulous, rooms just lovely, particularly having room facilities that allow food to be made in the room. The surrounding area is gorgeous.

No inside swimming pool which is not essential to enjoying this fabulous hotel but would make it perfect.

We stayed at Viva Marinha Hotel & Suites for the second time and were very pleased by the quality of the provided services. Very nice area where you can take a bicycle or just walk around, comfortable bed and furniture. Breakfast was great!

The only little thing we didn't like - dishes in the kitchen were never washed ( during 3 days of our stay).

Rooms are spacious, elegant, clean, quiet and comfortable. Great to have the kitchenette facilities. All staff are helpful, friendly, efficient. Surroundings, garden, outdoor pool are open, beautiful, perfectly maintained, quiet. Location is perfect for golf, cycling, walking, lazing in the sun. Dining is excellent. Masses of parking. Ocean, beaches, shopping, airport, Lisbon, natural/historical sites all within easy driving distance. Free wifi in the lobby. Lovely bathrooms.

Mattresses and pillows too hard for my preference! Spa/indoor pool not marvellous.

La localizacion del hotel, en medio de una reserva natural. A nosotros no nos costo encontrarlo. Con el gps muy facil. Aconsejo poner en el gps que te lleve al centro de cascais La habitacion, muy amplia. Nos alojamos en la deluxe, mejor que la suite en cuanto a espacio. Garaje gratuito. Plazas muy amplias. Mucha intimidad

Las habitaciones deluxe no tienen persianas. Aunque hay cortinas a primera hora de la mañana entra demasiada luz. Aconsejo pedir habitaciones orientadas al oeste en la reserva. Cuando llegamos nos dijeron que la piscina y el spa estaban cerrado por mantenimiento, tendria que habernos avisado antes de ir.

el hotel es espectacular , en un entorno privilegiado , muy recomendable las instalaciones asi como la limpieza del mismo . Un autentico 5 estrellas

El servicio del restaurante asi como la comida del mismo no es equiparable a un hotel cinco estrellas . El servicio tarda mucho en atenderte y la cocina no funciona como deberia . Mejor comer en Cascais

La no existencia del apartamento reservada, tuvo como compensación un apartamento de mayor amplitud (excesivo;con tres camas y dos baños para dos personas,salon, cocina, hall) Mucho ajuar y equipamiento en la cocina

Las espectativas en la primera comida a la carta no se correspondieron con las siguientes. Elegante presentación del plato pero comida, en algunos casos, decepcionante para el precio La limpieza de la cocina es mejorable Con una mesa más adecuada se podría aprovechar más la terraza. Es una pena que existiendo la cocina tan bien equipada no existe una mesa con la que poder desayunar o comer en la terraza. Presentan descuentos añadidos para próximas ocasiones, siendo estos transferibles; una manera de intentar fidelizar clientes.

The staff is very friendly, the room we had a lovely view looking at the hotel's garden and the location is ideal for rest and pleasure but a car is needed to reach Lisbon!

There is no wireless connection inside the rooms and I had to buy an external line because the cable line that the hotel provided to us was not a good one!! The air-condition inside the room I could not control it from inside and it had to be controlled from the central system!

Wir haben unseren Honeymoon im Viva Marinha verbracht und haben uns jede Sekunde sehr wohl gefühlt. Gern immer wieder. Wir behalten alles in guter Erinnerung.
