Aparthotel Oceanus  

This hotel was excellent value for money. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The location was great with supermarkets bus stops and taxis virtually outside door. There was an indoor pool as well as outdoor. The apartments are huge and very well equipped. Prices locally for everything from food and drinks to taxis are really cheap I.E. pint of beer from €1.80 to €2.50 and 3 course meal with a beer or glass of wine in most places was €9.95

The hotel was basic. It served its purpose.

It was a bit dated, in need of an upgrade. Room wasn't the cleanest, however staff rectified our complaints.

Having to leave

Having stayed there once or twice a year for last 6 years, and previously hired a carand left it in car park most of the time, we used an airport transfer service to and from the location, then buses and taxis and site seeing coach excursions. Well worth it - no worries about parking or damage to hire car. Service of hotel staff from managers & reception to cleaners is excellent. Special praise for Paula, Maria, Jacqueliene in reception.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms, facilities, location -less than 5 minutes to beautiful beaches and good restaurants in area. A real homely atmosphere.

We stayed in a t1 and the size of the appartment was fantastic for this category. We specially liked the fact that the balcony had access by both the living room and the bedroom, the corner meal area and the good size bathroom. Another plus we found was the extra storage space available (wardrobe in the entrance).

Its location in the village of ólas Aqua and its proximity to the beach made it an ideal break for us.

The beds were very uncomfortable and there was very little entertainment in the Hotel itself.

The rooms were of generous size and the location was good for an overnight stay as there were plenty of restaurants nearby.

We were unfortunate that there was a loud party in the room next to ours. Although we can't blame the hotel, I was disappointed that the night staff didn't do anything to quieten the group - I had to intervene myself at 4.30am.

The location of the hotel , the convenience of the bus stop and taxi's outside the door. Rooms cleaned daily and towels changed .Staff espically at reception were very helpful and friendlyand welcoming.Convenience of the pools and pool areas when beach was windy.

As the apartment was on the ground floor you could not leave the doors on the verenda's open at night , it was not an option to open the windows because of design. Air conditioning was available.

Excellent room ,very clean and tidy.Large balcony and also small side balcony.Very friendly staff.Excellent location with its own top class restraunt.Beaches best ive seen.Highly recommended.

Clean/spacious rooms/excellant english speaking staff only 400mts from beach and will definately stop at hotel soonon our next visit to portugal/aparthotel here we come soon philip/carol walker
