In 1996, the Aparthotel Vip Eden was awarded with a prize for the best urban renovation project and for its tourist accomplishment in Portugal. This was thanks to the superior quality of the facilities and architecture.

The building has 75 studios (1-2 persons) and 59 apartments, which are suitable for four people. All of the studios and apartments are equipped according to the new rules of comfort taken by the VIP hotels. Amongst the many facilities available to you during your stay, the VIP Eden also offers you use of the roof-top swimming pool with solarium and the bar where you can enjoy the panoramic view over the city, whilst having your breakfast.

A spacious and comfortable choice, VIP Executive Suites Eden offers all you need for a successful stay. Large studios and apartments have separate working areas, modern facilities and a swimming pool on the terrace offers a great panoramic view of the city.

Given 4 stars by the Portuguese Tourist Authority and Recognized in 1996 as the “Best Urban Project” and the “Best Tourist Achievement” in Portugal, it really stands out.

All 134 rooms are completely equipped with the most modern facilities, including a TV, air conditioning, telephone, internet access and a private bathroom.

Area information

The Aparthotel VIP Eden is located in Baixa de Lisboa, very close to Praça do Rossio, in the heart of the historical and cultural centre. It has a very good location near the business area, just 20 minutes away from Lisbon international airport and about 10 minutes from the Sta. Apolónia train station.

The staff of the hotel (particularly the two women on staff during the morning of July 3, 2008) were very helpful. We also stayed at the hotel on June 23-24, and those two women were there when we discovered that my wife lost her wallet and identification. Our luggage was also lost in transit. Those two staff members were very patient and helpful, and they should get a raise.

If you had more rooms with queen size beds, that would be nice.

Super location. Roof deck with pool, tables & chairs, great for sipping a glass of wine as the sun sets over the city. Quick walk to numerous restaurants, points of interest, etc. Adjacent to Metro.

Breakfast (optional) not worth the money; but plenty of nearby places to dine at all hours.

We had a dreadful experience. We had to change rooms four times in one day. First room deadlock jammed and we could not exit the hotel on the second morning without help from reception. second room the door would not lock third room was not acceptable fourth room was spacious but the noise from the generators meant we could not sleep for the four nights spent in that room.

Very central location, close to aerobus, metro, and night life venues. Spacius room with useful kitchen facilities and excelent view from a room. I would recommended it for those who expect to have an apartment rather than a hotel room.

Broken CD player and TV remote control was rarther petty inconvenience. Hotel classification (4 stars) is probably not relevant to overall standard of hotel, which is closer to holiday apartment (FeWo).
