The friendly staff, modern decor and atmosphere

The hotel staff were very friendly and the atmosphere on a whole was very relaxed. Breakfast was very accomodating with something for everyone, with added extra touches such as sparkling wine. The resturant then staying open all day to serve lunch and dinner, both of which being very nice!! We got upgraded to a superior room when we got there which was very nice with sea views. The beach was just a short walk away the only thing though it was a bit to rockey to swim! Overall a lovely modern hotel and I would definatley go back to Aqua Pedra Dos Bicos!!

We loved the evening meals in the restaurant we ate in every night. This is a vast improvement on last year when I stayed in August. The design of the hotel is great, very bright with no gloomy carpeted corridors. The atmosphere was good. We liked the fact there were very few children. It seemed to be just friends or couples. We also liked the fact that we could walk to the beach and there were plenty plenty of cafe bars for lunches. We enjoyed evenings by the pool having drinks before dinner.

We found it difficult to get a bed by the pool during the day. It was a little bit cramped and possibly overcrowded in high season.My husband thought tv was very restricted in terms of english speaking channels, and the internet which he feels these days should have been free since its a 4 star hotel anyway.

The rooms are very nice and modern, great breakfast and excellent service from the front desk. One of the best hotels during a 2 week trip in Portugal. Highly recommended.

It is a very modern hotel. We loved the design features. It was very comfortable.We had a lovely time.We would reccommend it to our friends. We only had bed and breakfast and were relieved not to have included dinner. We didn't eat there as dinner was buffet style and we thought we would have been very tired of it had we booked..Also there was far more interesting food available outside of hotel.Any dealings we had with reception stafft hey were courteous and helpful.

This is not really a complaint. We had a light llunch by the pool a few times and just wondered why the service was soo slow.There were very few people eating at any given time and yet service was amazingly slow. In all other restaurants and pubs outside of hotel service was very professional and quick.It just seemed very strange that hotel was so lovely and the food side of things was a bit neglected.Lunch was very tasty when it did come.

The staff was very friendly and helpful...especially at the front desk. English is widely spoken. The large free parking lot next door is a big plus. The offerings at their buffet dinners in the hotel restaurant could be improved to offer more international selections. However, it's very well presented. The buffet at 15.50 euros would be more fairly priced at 12 euros. The hotel is at an excellent location for using the beach and many local restaurants. The pool and pool area is beautiful. It's a long walk to the old town center, but easily reached by taxi for about 5 euros. We think this area is much nicer than the old town area. Offering WIFI for free would increase our rating of this place. Also, being allowed to play their beautiful baby grand piano would be a nice touch. That said, we would return and send our friends.

The outstanding design and excellent ambiance makes this hotel one we would be happy to return to. The staff also were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was close to both the town and the beach yet was in a quiet spot with no traffic noise. Great choice for breakfast.

Not enough written information on the hotels own facilities and rules. It wasnt an issue for us and may have been our room that didnt have the package.in place. Dinner menu was unimaginative and didnt display a price for non half board residents. Positives far outweigh negatives.

We had a lovely 4 day stay at the hotel. Breakfast was better than we thought it would be and the staff are very helpful. However we are returning to Portugal in June with our family but I don't think this hotel is suitable for families with young children.

No tea making facilities in the rooms.

Excellent food and service. Amazing view of the ocean. Very convenient location to visit the Algarve.

We generally loved the hotel. We had a Luxury room with a front sea view off the balcony. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff were friendly.

The cleaners forgot to lock our room after they cleaned it - luckily nothing was stolen and our valuables were in the safe.

The staff were friendly and informative. The breakfast quality and choice was excellent.

The rooms overlooking the street are very noisy at night. Coaches stop outside throughout the night and leave their engines running. The karaoke at the end of the road may send you to sleep! The rooms could do with a deep clean, we had black mould in our bathroom and all the bedroom entrance doors were dusty. Our towels had holes in them and were frayed on the edges. The 200m walk to the beach is down many wooden steps. Free internet would be nice in a Hotel of this standard.
