Setubal seems like an authentic Portuguese city not overrun by tourism (at least when we visited in May) with a historical (albeit a little run down) city center, with lots of opportunities for hiking close by and beaches in the immediate vicinity. Hotel Arangues is close to both the train station and the bus terminal and every part of the city (including the center and the ferry docks) is within walking distance. The hotel itself is clean with decent service and is relatively sophisticated considering the extremely low price.

The staff was friendly and helpful

The room didn't look that good as in the photos, the furniture in the room was old, but the room was clean.

The breakfast is simple but really good, the staff were very friendly. There's lots of space to park your car in front of the hotel, and it's also free. Everything in the room was very clean.

Our room smelled a bit of smoke, and that wouldn't be a problem except that the windows aren't the kind that can stay open, there's the need for someone there to hold it.

Close to bus and train station. Within one hour by train into Lisbon. Good seafood restaurants within easy walking distance. Hotel receptionist very good and good command of English.

The rooms were very clean and the staff, as far as necessary, very help full and friendly. The temperature in the rooms were very nice, you could set this yourself.

In the dinning/breakfast room was no heating so in this time of the year cold. People were eating with their coots on.... Also the temperature of the warm water during showering was not very warm.

Very old hotel in Setubal. Its in a housing complex so you look at the balconies of the neighbors, but also have a little look at the sea. Need a car to go to the centre of the town, it`s a 5 minute drive. Have to pay for Wifi, and it`s expensive.

beds were not ok for us, the swimming pool and SPA were not available,

It is near to the city centre and the rail way station. The breakfast buffet was nice. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable

At Hotel Arangues we were greeted by incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Our room had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The hotel is well located and our room was very reasonably priced.

the staff was very helpful...the ladies in the restaurant are so attentive and friendly...i felt right at home!
