I thought the hotel facade was beautiful and well situated by the canal. My single room was well appointed and breakfast was excellent. Aveiro is a lovely town and the Aveiro Palace provided excellent value for money and was a good base to explore the town Nothing - I have no complaints

Very central to Aveiro, with access to a car park immediately opposite. A reasonable room, cleaned regularly, with a balcony overlooking the canals and square. Excellent breakfast, with wonderful daily fresh fruit and super pastries, fabulous coffee. Staff very helpful and polite.

Nice, modern rooms (with a touch of art nouveau). The room to the interior court on the first floor which we asked for instead of one to the main square was so loud that we changed it in the middle of the night (there is a restaurant situated just beneath room nr. 111). The staff reacted immediately and without any further ado to our request - which we greatly appreciated. Based on this experience, we would take a room to the square or try to find a quieter hotel - but obviously the tolerance for noise differs from person to person.

The location was fantastic. I paid extra to have view at front and was given room 214, which has front and side windows looking out to the canal. The room was nice and big and quiet. One bonus was separate shower and bath. The list is very small. Room for you and your luggae but that's all.

Aveiro Palace is really in the hart of lovely Aveiro.Nice rooms and great breakfast. Parking in underground Parking for only 5 euro per 24 h. Make a boat trip and enjoy dinner in modern/romantic restaurant 'Quatre Nos' situated 80 metres behind the fish market along the channel: Cais dos Botiroes 24 and drive to the beach and Lighthouse. You will also see the salt basins

Hotel has a very nice location in the old part of Aveiro, right at the main canal. Rooms are very nice and quiet, despite the noise outside. Breakfast is good, especially freshly squeezed orange juice. Staff was very nice and helpful.

The position of the hotel on the riverfront was excellent once you had parked your car. The view from our room of the river in the early morning was dellightful. The hotel had been completely refurbished and was of very high standard. There were many restaurants in the small streets behind the hotel. We arrived in the afternoon of a National Holiday and the town was packed and parking was impossible. After driving by the hotel several times my husband double parked while I went into the hotel. The receptionist advised us to leave the car double parked for 10 mins while we checked in and then gave us a card to access the underground parking across the river which solved all our problems

Very good hotel for a very good price. I couldn't ask for more. The most impressive was the gorgeous smell in the hotel lobby. Maybe that's not the most important, but really does make a good impression.

Excelent location, easy to access. Parking not in the hotel, but they have an agreement with a public parking crossing the street, very cheap. The bathroom was really poor for a 4* hotel, No bidet, small douche plate with thin curtains that fly inwards reducing the douche space even more (if it's possible!)

Excellent, central location, good breakfast. Unfriendly, uninterested staff, probably missing a good manager. We booked a double room facing the inside court. Very small room (almost claustrophobic), facing the walls of the inside court. Could not open the window due to the noise made by the ventilation system and could not use the airconditioning because the room being so small, it's blowing cold air directly on you. Free wi-fi for 30 mins only !

- The location: it's next to the Central Canal, close to the old part. You can easily get to all interesting places on foot. The railway station is a short walk from the hotel. - The windows and air-conditioning: Although there is a busy street in front of the hotel, you can't hear anything with the windows closed. The air-conditioning works well. - The cleanliness: the room and the common parts looked very clean. - The breakfast was included in the room rate. There was enough variety of products (including some jam, cheese and something sweet). We quite liked the hotel and it's evident that it has been renovated recently. However, we still feel a bit cheated - this is not a 4-star hotel. I'd rather classify it as a 2-star place. The room we stayed in was quite small for 2 people. There was no hairdryer, mini-bar/fridge or telephone. The desk was not full-size, either. The bathroom door didn't work well - we had to use a lot of force to close it. The shower was very small and only had a plastic curtain (= the bathroom gets flooded every time someone uses it). The window in the bathroom didn't have curtains/blinds. You have to pay for internet access - you only get a free 30-minute code.
