Axis Porto Business & Spa Hotel

This fairly new business class hotel is unique in Porto and offers a smart and relatively luxurious four star alternative to the more traditional hotels in the city. If you can get one of the reduced price offers including spa, dinner, bed and breakfast, go for it, it´s excellent value and the food is surprisingly good. The hotel is under utilised and you will have the spa to yourselves. The personnel are efficient, friendly and multi-lingual. The hotel facade is illuminated and changes through the colours of the spectrum throughout the night. The rooms and bathrooms are fitted to a high standard with very good quality textiles, chrome fittings, etched glass panels, marble tiles, laminated flooring, and the sound-proofing is good.

Can be impossible to sit astride the bidet if you are an adult man, owing to the bad location of the toilet roll holder! The plastic mattress protector makes the bed uncomfortable and sweaty at night. The champagne on ice, on the breakfast buffet, is for decoration only - sorry, no Bucks fizz!

This hotel was quite good, not very far from the underground station, staff was really friendly and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. Loads of space to keep your stuff, and also a very nice balcony.

The breakfast was poor, and they did not replace the food that was eaten. Once we got quite late for breakfast and all we had to eat was leftover bread. The tvs could have some more channels and the wireless internet should be free.

Very good accomodation. The rooms decoration and facilities available are excellent for the rate charged.

It is brand new, located quite far out on the outskirts of Porto in a quaint poor, quiet, rural neighborhoud. Metro stop is 15 min walk, you can get to centre of town with 10 min ride. Rooms are comortable, modern decorated, but hotel still suffers from glitches, fancy electronics do not seem to work (room door does not open, light wont turn off)

Long queue for breakfast, had to wait over 20 min to be seated, it is simply unacceptable.

La decoración,confort,muy tranquilo y relajante.El spa y sus tratamientos...En general todo ..sus detalles (el ascensor ,salita rinconcito de recepción,sus pantallas en cada planta,detalle lámparas pasillos,puertas habitaciones,la posición de la cama,puerta corredera del banyo y su grabado en el cristal, iluminación exterior nocturna...etc Todo conmucho gusto!!!

El hotel es perfecto, la decoración muy original, sobre todo en los pasillos de plantas. El trato del personal excelente, dar las gracias a Daniel y Marta que nos ayudaron en todo cuanto les pedimos sobre información turistica y gastronómica. Las habitaciones de diseño y la cama y almohadas comodísimas. Si vuelvo a Oporto probablemente volvería a este hotel.

Lejos del centro. Aunque tambien tiene la ventaja de no tener ruidos y ser muy fácil aparcar. Es una zona que se esta urbanizando, por lo que hay edificios nuevos junto con fábricas viejas y casas muy viejas. El spa es pequeño y muy bonito, pero la verdad que a mi no me dio tiempo a usarlo. El wifi es caro (10€ diario), en un hotel como este debería ser gratuito y sólo hay dos ordenadores con conexión al lado de recepción.
