I am visiting Porugal and Porto many time per year . I have to say that i found better hotel several time for same price , better location , more free services , better food in restaurant , better wifi .
*Friendly staff, rooms were immaculately clean. When you came back from day trips, it always looked as though you were the first person to ever sleep in that room which is lovely. *Super comfy bed, great storage space, well equiped room, lovely shower and separate bath. I particularly liked that as soon as you closed the door to the balcony, any outside noise was totally cancelled out and you can use either the all light-blocking curtains or the semi-transparent curtains if you want light but privacy...a very nice touch. *Liliana at reception gave us a great advice and recommendations, in particular on which street to find the best seafood ('Rua Herois de Franca'), we found a restaurant called S.Valentim which was the best meal we've had in Porto. *Breakfast was good with a wide range, fresh bread, juices, cereals, cured meats, cheese, pastries. The croissants were too heavy (not sure if this is portuguese style) but the pain au chocolats were good. I did not have the hot food but it didn't look appetising to me. *Hotel illuminates at night in all colours..very pretty. *In the room, there is the option to use the black out curtains or the semi-transparent curtains which is great if you want privacy but sunlight or totally sleep. Also, the room is well sound-proofed from outside so even though it's already a quiet area, you don't hear any noise from the roads nearby. Great for a good night's sleep.
*We ate dinner at the hotel one night as we were very hungry and it was disappointing. We ordered the black spaghetti and the rack of lamb. The spaghetti came in a creamy sauce but had very little flavour and the lamb wasn't delicious and accompanied by soggy veggies. The potatoes were good but we were also charged 4euros for two for bread/olives. (I think this is common in Portugal to just add it to the bill without having ordering it but still, would have been nice to have the option). At the end, we paid more than we had in town for better quality meals and left the restaurant unsatisfied. *Wifi was patchy and didn't always work. As we were out most of the time, it didn't have a massive impact on us but it was a bit annoying when we just wanted to check opening times or emails quickly. *Not a massive thing but if you do visit here, I would recommend bringing your own shampoo as they give you an all-in-one shower gel/shampoo which I didn't really like. *This isn't a criticism of the hotel but do note that there aren't really any restaurants open late around the hotel (just some fast food) so do eat in town.
Friendly and helpful staff, excellent restaurant.
Over all good

A little bit further from the centre than we realised but with the very efficient metro it was not a problem. Staff at reception were very nice and polite, room was huge, had a sitting room as well as bedroom and bathroom with a large balcony. Dinner was a bit disappointing, some of the staff were a bit miserable but the others were nice. Breakfast was good with a lot of choice. Really nice hotel though. Would go back again.
Short walk to Metro Station that goes to centre of Porto. Good quality facilities, with a variation in meals each day.
Internet/WiFi was terrible
The hotel is not "next to" the university as advertised but 2 metro stops away. Also it is a long walk from the metro with a bag. A pick up and drop off service is needed.
The fact that despite hosting the athletes for the European Korfball championship, everything from the room cleanliness, politeness and attentiveness from the staff, down to the kitchen service, was spot on. The restaurant is very good value and the sleep quality as well.
The wifi connection is quite flaky in some places of the hotel, and sometimes rather slow.
The room at the nineth floor was large and with a nice view. The bathroom is also large with both shower and hub, and featured the bidet. There is a small SPA accessible for 3€. Breakfast acceptable. Good quality/price ratio.
Staff professionality and kindness below average for the hotel category and Portugal. The metro station is a bit far (>10 minutes walk) and sometimes it was difficult to find a taxi. Need time to go to the city centre, and to come back. WIFI poor most of the time.
The room Breakfast Reception team
very helpful and willing to talk. parking was good
somewhat fare from the metro, about 20 minutes.
a very friendly personal as well as kindly approach of the hotel management to the costumers
not very well wi-fi access
Hotel staff and their services
Only the food tray that they didn't get when they clean the room, it stayed there till the day we went.
Good service, helpful staff, 5 night stay included two free buffet dinners and two free sessions in the spa. Breakfast was OK.
Of you want to be closer to the city action don't stay here, there's not much around this area of town. Porto metro is ten minutes walk. Too many tourist buses use this hotel which means if you want to use the restaurant at night book your table early.
Location, accommodations, breakfast, metro accessibility
WiFi connection not reliable
Almost everything .
The only thing negative is ... We have to pay spa or even only swimming pool 3€ per person per hour. I think it's the first hotel that I have to pay to go only to the pool.
The staff Very clean
Far from the center
Good brakefast, nice room
Poor wifi in the room 10 min. walkinh to metro
Very nice, clean and quiet room. Very professional staff. I would definitely stay in this hotel again when visiting Porto.
Far from city center but metro in about 10/15 minutes walk from the hotel. If you don't mind walking a bit it's not a problem. If you don't like walking I will suggest you to consider other hotels.
You get what you pay for. Comfortable bedrooms, efficient service. Weak points: location in the middle of nowhere (need your own car or pay a fortune for taxi) and poor breakfasts. Recommended for business travellers with their own rented car and not too big expectations regarding breakfasts. Good a'la card restaurant with efficient service and moderate rates.
Accommodations were perfect after a long drive. Bed was soft and comfortable and I liked the separate tub and shower stall. Modern and clean. Parking was secure and reasonable. A la carte restaurant was very nice with a good selection as was service.
We made a la carte dinner reservations for that evening at the front desk however they neglected to advise the maître d so although they managed to accommodate us we had to wait until they set up a table.
The room was very modern, the staff was very friendly and eficient. All around great service and quality.
The rooms are nicely designed and everything looks tidy. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is very good and there are a lot of different items to choose from. The location of the hotel is not very central, but since I attended a conference in Porto it was more important that the hotel was close to the conference buildings. The metro is close by, though and it is easy to go to the city center and back even at night.
The WLan is rather slow and unstable.
- Room very convenient - Large bathroom - Nice balcony - Great staff!
- Noise (bipbibpbip!) when people enter the room next door - Spa not so clean (but cap and sleepers requested) - Far from the city center
