Hotel Baia Grande  

Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool area was very clean and well maintained. The room was spacious with good views. The hotel was also in a lovely location close to a blue flag beach. The shuttle service to Albuferia and Gale beach was very useful for getting around.

The bar prices and pool bar prices were over inflated, especially when you are buying children ice pops and drinks. The buffet prices are also very high when you also add in children meals to the total bill. A couple of male staff were not friendly and created an unwelcoming atmosphere in the bar and breakfast area.

Room decoratio a bit old-fashion. Needs updating.

Lovely hotel, wonderful staff, clean rooms and swimming pools, yummy breakfasts, not too far from the beach!

The Hotel isn't close to the beach and dependant on what room you get the view isn't brilliant when you book the Supreme room. Tea and coffee making facilities in room would be good. Had main doors open most of the time and inside main areas and corridors etc temperature could get quite hot and uncomfortably sticky.

From the moment we arrived in the Baia Grande hotel we felt so welcomed.The staff were extremly helpful polite and friendly.The attention to detail in our room was amazing from the flowers,fruit wine and silk sheets to the rose petals in the bath!! Not to mention the limo service to the airport, and the opportunity to have a massage by the pool!!Home was never like this.Lovely touches.The pool was super and the pool bar excellent too.Paulo Dias the hotel manager should be very pleased with his hotel and staff.He did everything to ensure our stay was perfect for us.And it was.We liked the quiet location and the free shuttle to the town and beach that were available several times a day if requred.I certainly will be returning and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to family and friends.PS It as my husbands birthday while we were there and when we returned to our room that evening there was a birthday cake with candles for him from the staff.Absolutely and utterly amazing.Thank you to all concerned for making our visit so special.

Even on polite request would not give a pool facing room without charging. Since the hotel was not busy I would have expected different

Lovely location in a quiet spot a few miles east of Albufeira. Immacuately clean; probably the cleanest hotel I have ever seen. Very well looked after. Reasonable value for a four-star hotel. Some nice restaurants in the nearby village, and a beautiful beach about 10 mins walk away.

A couple of gripes: the front desk area seemed understaffed. The whole time we were there there was rarely more than one person on the desk. They had to do check-ins, check-outs, queries, concierge, take luggage. So there was often a long wait. It would have been much better to have an extra person in the lobby who could greet guests, help them with luggage, in and out of cabs, answer questions, take the luggage for later collection etc..By contrast, there was an army of staff in the pool/garden area and in the restaurant. Seemed slightly imbalanced. Also, hotels should have wi-fi throughout, especially a four-star. No excuse really. The signal in the lobby was powerful, but no signal in the rooms or pool area.

A falta de acesso a Internet que se verifica nos quartos. Terá que ser uma situação a rever.

freundliche Mitarbeiter, höfliches Auftreten, schön gestaltete Poollandschaft

Handtücher waren schon relativ dünn, nicht weich und die Armaturen im Bad z.T. ziemlich verkalkt. Die Reinigung war nicht immer 100% ig zufriedenstellend.Die Kopfkissen waren aus hartem Synthetikmaterial und nicht sehr angenehm zum Schlafen. Nicht immer 4**** Niveau.

Gostei muito do hotel do conforto da decoração e limpeza. O serviço de pequeno almoço e o jantar sempre excelente
