Just a 5 minute walk from Bairro Alto and Chiado, this small hotel offers spacious and colorful rooms with a flat-screen TV. A homemade breakfast is available in the morning.

Loved the staff, Rafael, John, Constencia, Maggie, Ceceilia, Linda, Sofia, all exceptional customer care professionals, incredible attitudes, the breakfast great, the location phenomenal, all excellent. very special place in our world. great recommendations by John and Rafael and Sofia. you will ove this place, s and j
it was tough for me because I use a cane and the area was difficult to walk especially when raining, the cobblestones very slick.
location, decoration, fantastic breakfast
From the moment you arrive you are treated like family, the staff are so so helpful. Their local knowledge of places to visit and eat is excellent, the famous tram 28 stops about a 3 min walk away, the whole area is wonderful, the guesthouse is tucked away in the back streets making it a quite location but any where you want to go is a short stroll away and local transport is excellent ,just buy a transport card as its great value and can be used on most modes of transport. If I return to Lisbon I would always stay here.
Maybe a usable mirror in the bedroom

Friendly helpful staff in recommending reasonably priced delicious meals at nearby restaurant; and in advising best routes to walk to sight or which Metro, bus or train to take. Free internet with computer in lobby. Nice to have kitchen with dishes, fridge, sink, stove top & counter. Delicious homemade desserts with variety of other foods for breakfast buffet.
Bathroom - Very little space to put toiletries on. Step up to toilet location.
The apartments were well-equipped and clean. My parents stayed in one, and my boyfriend and I in the other. The proximity to the Bairro Alto and Chiado neighborhoods is great. The staff were friendly and helpful and they even have a common area stocked with snacks, wine, beer, and cakes. We asked if they had any garlic and Jessica went out and bought it for us since they had none. That was super sweet of her. The apartments are quiet and have a WONDERFUL view.
Please consider with the apartments on the 4th floor that in addition to not having a lift, the building is situated on a big hill. Coming and going was a workout! Carrying luggage up was difficult, but Jessica kindly helped. The hot water was spotty in the shower. It worked best when I ran the tap in the kitchen til it became warm and then turned the shower on. It was a waste of water, but I can't handle a cold shower!
Excellent location, very friendly staff, spacious apartment
bathroom very small and shower curtain inadequate. Lots of water on the floor no matter how careful you take a shower. Front door of building has to be forcefully opened
The staff was very friendly, breakfast was very good, location was great, we really enjoyed our stay.
The staff attention to the travelers was beyond expectations. As a bonus, the guests are treated to an exclusive restaurant on top of the city - the chefs creations were just extraordinary.
Finding the place was a challenge.
Secluded courtyard. Opportunity to chat with other guests.
A bit of a challenge to find.
Carla, Jessica & Sofia at reception are the most patient & delightful hosts. Very helpful with suggestions & making reservations for my group of six. Very good location in Santa Catarina neighborhood.
We had 2 bedroom apartment #17. First floor bedroom tiny. Stairs to upstairs very odd. That bedroom has low ceiling making it difficult to move about without bumping head! Bathroom up there has no hot water & very low ceiling.
Very friendly atmosphere. Staff is very kind and helpful. Quiet and charming location in old barrio alto.
Friendly staff, especially Jessica who took a long tem with clients answering their questions. Breakfasts are very good. Good district to be in for a feel of the real Lisbon.
We stayed in number 14. Upstairs was a privately owned apartment and we could hear them unlocking their door at night, usually midnight, walking across the floors, going to the loo! They got up at 6.30 for showers and on our last night we thought they were moving furniture at 1am. In fairness we mentioned the noise problem to Jessica on our last morning and she told us that no one had complained before . Apart from that we would recommend the B n B.
My wife and I found ourselves without a hotel for our last night in Lisbon...and got very lucky to find this gem in the Santa Catarina neighborhood. Great location, fun apartment and a friendly staff. Our only disappointment was that we were not staying at Casa do Patio longer.
The location was superb, being very close to some great restaurants and views across the harbor. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful plus the breakfast was just what you needed for a big day of exploring. Its really hard to fault this place and i fully recommend it to anyone wanting a true Lisbon experience in a quiet surrounding. My partner and i are both 26 and wanted something a little less rowdy compared to some of the hostels in the area. This place was perfect.
Washing lines in the patio area were a bit too low for comfort. But again, really hard to fault.
Nicely furnished apartment. Very friendly staff.
Apartment was on top floor up 5 flights of stairs so not ideal for a couple in their sixties. No prior warning of this. Bathroom extremely small and would be nearly unusable for anyone large. Breakfast not cheap at 7 euros each.
The staff were very friendly, helpful and paid attention to detail. Our apartment was amazing - clean, well-equipped, tastefully decorated; and the view was magical!
The place is a bit difficult to find and access, but that's also part of its charm. We were fine with the four flights of stairs to our apartment, but we were wondering what people would do if they couldn't manage the stairs - we had not been made aware of the situation. The towels could have been a bit newer.
Difficult to find for taxidrivers
smiling, friendly people the location is perfect and walking distance to everything great food really nice recommendations from the host for things to eat out near by safe parking garage
coming with the car was a little bit of a challenge, since it is located in a restricted area in the old town, but we were also not well equipped in terms of a map ;)
Spacious, bright and nice flats in an authentic neighborhood. With kitchen and a big fridge. Tv and stereo with local music available. Even a washing machine (didn't use it). Friendly staff. Airport taxi service.
Might be a little bit hard to find the first couple of times. A bit expensive if you are alone in your flat.
Where do I begin we cannot say enough good things about this absolute little gem. If you are like us and you hate boring big hotels with no personality or character that you can find almost every where across the globe then you will absolutely love Casa do Patio. Tucked away between the narrow streets in the Bairro Alto we got to experience Lisbon as the Lisbonites do. This really is a charming little place and the staff are great and they make the best sponge cake and fried bread with sugar sorry don't know the name :) in all of Lisbon and the fresh juice in the morning is delicious. Would we stay here again? you bet ya we would.
Absolutely nothing there is nothing to dislike :)
The staff, friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfasts, fresh and plentiful - everything homemade and orange juice freshly squeezed for each guest.
A little noisy. The Patio includes local residences which adds to the ambiance but does mean you have local kids running around, shouting and screaming until quite late.
Everything! Helpful friendly, staff; clean and stylish rooms and brilliant location just a stone's throw from the viewpoint
- Extremely helpful staff. - Very well-maintained facilities. - The included breakfast is excellent. - Location, location, location! - Great value for the money.
- Our only criticism of Casa do Patio would be the pillows provided in the apartments -- they are not supportive at all. Would have paid a few Euros more a night for nice pillows. This is an easy fix, and would make this the perfect place to stay!
