Pedro, who runs the place, is awesome. Very clean. Rooms are very sufficient and comfortable. Lots of charm. Family run. In the middle of Portuguese olive oil country!!
Not too many options to eat in town
Quiet rural environment
We enjoyed our stay at this great little hotel. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the rooms had a traditional feel and yet were comfortable and clean. The breakfast had lots of fresh pastries and fruit and the pool area was a great area to relax at the end of the day. Will definitely recommend to friends.
The staff were friendly and helpful and recommended a good nearby restaurant where we enjoyed an excellent meal which was great value for money. Although the hotel swimming pool is small it was very welcome when we arrived after a long journey on a hot day. The hotel is in a great location for visiting several attractive towns and villages and provided a good base for a couple of days.
Lovely family hotel. Pedro was very attentive. Food at local restaurant was excellent
We loved staying in this hotel where Pedro, his mother and auntie made us so welcome, Pedro going as far as to translate the menu for the local eatery for us so we knew what we were eating! Wonderful. (By the way the staff in the local restaurant were the best and the food tasty and simple!) It was so relaxed and Pedro is also quite knowledgeable about football which cheered me up and he makes the best Gin and Tonic in Europe, the world actually!! Breakfast was great, especially our second and last morning when we received plates of beautifully prepared fruit from the staff in the kitchen, superb. We would use again, no hesitation.
Very helpful , friendly staff(owner?) Amaaaaazing gin and tonics, highly recommended.
Not a breakfast person but breakfast not up to the standard of the gin and tonics! No fresh Orange juice (inexcusable) and coffee stewed and standing in a vacuum flask. The only shortcomings.
Location and staff
Very good hoel
Everything was great... I recomend Restaurante do Adro for a great dinner... and Pias wine!
We loved staying here. The location is perfect for day trips to visit Evora, Monsaraz, Sherpa, and Arcena. This is castle country and not to be missed. The hotel is very comfortable, clean, and has a nice pool. The rooms have personal touches and each one is different. Breakfast is ample, and there's a small bar and sitting room with a fireplace if it's chilly at night. Pedro is a great host. He made sure that we had local red wines to drink when we returned from exploring each day, and he personally took us down to a nearby restaurant, O Adro, to order dinner for us. We liked staying here so much that we returned for one more night at the end of our stay.
