Staff very nice lovely food great view
Toilet seat and bathroom door need Replacing.the walk back from town is Very steep.
Nothing not to like, yummy all inclusive breakfast, great location and friendly staff!
Great location with panoramic sea views. Friendly staff. Clean hotel with nice pool area. Low cost bar!
Good views, nice ( but hilly) area. Lady Receptionist and bar staff friendly and helpful. Good choices at breakfast. Pool towels available.
Apartment not available and given 2 double rooms - not what we wanted but no hot water in apartment. Staff did not communicate information well between themselves and after two nights were told apartment still not available even though water had been fixed. One of the lifts did not work neither did the steam room. Television and wifi reception poor.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The check in was seamless and the clerk was very helpful and gave us a brief layout of the facilities. There was one day that we were chilling by the pool and they brought out complimentary pastries and sandwiches.
apartment view breakfast pool staff pleasant and helpful the parrot next door
lift broke down bar closed too early for residents some of the irish group staying were extremely rude and unfriendly fuse in apartment kept tripping tv wouldn't work
The staff were very friendly and extremely friendly and the location was great . We loved our holiday....
The Wi-Fi was incredibly slow ....
When we arrived noroom was availble d/t some maintenance problem. 5 or 6 couples were sent to another hotel in another area of town..taxis were paid, room upgrade given 2 days later when we returned, free dinner, bar bill paid! Many appologes.. was our 6th stay and will return again next year. Rooms have been redecorated.
beds give little support (however I have a back problem!)
we got to the hotel early, are room was ready and they upgraded us ,the staff are good ,breakfast is excellent ,this hotel is ideal for a good holiday ,close to the old town ,rooms are clean ,this is are second time at this hotel this year and would stay again
The Wi-Fi could improve
We went 5 nights half board and found the breakfast and evening meals excellent. There is a different soup each evening along with salad in addition to the healthy hot foods. Staff are friendly and helpful, only had to deal with one unhelpful staff member. We had an early checkout and staff brought a chilled breakfast to our room the night before. Drinks are great value too.
The evening meals should be labelled so diners know what the options are. Wifi can be a bit weak, we had to stand by the bedroom door for decent coverage but no big deal.
Very friendly staff. Breakfast
Cleaning should be better Had to pay for use of fridge
Good room, reasonable price, clean and tidy. Good location for old town. Wifi worked in the room this time.
Wifi in the room I had only worked close to the door.
good location in old town although up a hill staff good and friendly was given a lovely large room even though we only booked a standard double room good breakfast choice nice and relaxing by the pool
sauna and steam room did not work
pool area ok, the view of Albufeira bay from room 515 was excellent.
Room 515, the mattress and pillows should have been thrown in the local skip, the curtains were a disgrace, we had single sheets across the width of a double bed, the top cover was ripped. The hanging area had 8 hangers and some small draw space. Some reviews said this is only a 2 star hotel, but I wouldn't rate it that high.
Wonderful hotel, wonderful & friendly staff; all in all just great. Huge room, huge bathroom, quiet and pleasant pool. Great breakfast, great location. Only fault is that lower gate into hotel locks so early at night, would be amazing if it was coded so people could enter it later than 9pm at night.
Very Large Bed.
- Main elevator broken for the entire stay. - No Turkish bath as stated just a steam room which NEVER worked during our stay. - No wi-fi in rooms as stated in facilities. - Paint peeling off roof in corridor. - Rear gate closes at 9.30pm which means a 500m hill walk to the front entrance. - Breakfast was terrible (fruit flies all over fruit on first day, milk was always room temperature) - Only ham and cheese toasties available during the day.
Breakfast choices were very good.
Couldn't get drinks by pool when busy and had to go and ask 3 times, People left towels on sunbeds and didn't turn up for hours
Location .Breakfast was good but not well laid out dining room
The hotel is in need of TLC. Pool not the cleanest so we had to go to the beach everyday.Have stay at quite a few hotels in a Albuferia and they have been better It only deserves 3stars
We stayed in the room called Bahia 1 on the 6th floor. We really liked the big balcony overlooking Albufeira with fantastic views. The bathroom was big with a shower and bath. And the fridge was really handy. Excellent value for money.
Despite the other reviews, we did have wifi in our room but it was quite slow. Also, we got a taxi from Faro airport to hotel Boa Vista that cost €50 for two of us while if we got a taxi organised by the hotel it would have cost €75.
Staff (extremely unfriendly and not willing to help us) Cleaning (they didn't clean one of the two bathroom for the whole week) No wifi, even if it was supposed to function in the apartment Service (they took 5 days to fix the light in the bathroom + there was no light in the kitchen)
The view was spectacular, good service and brilliant location for all travellers
The decor is very dated and the rooms not very clean
this second oldest hotel of Albufeira has a fantastic position next to the old city centre where we found good restaurants in little streets. Our superior room "Maraquesh" was lovingly re-furnished in morrocon style and is told to be the most beautiful room in the entire hotel. We had a huge terrace with whirlpool and an amazing view over the ocean. Here and there you'll find old fashioned or broken things, but the building has it's own charme. Although the bed almost fell apart, the mattress and the bedclothes were very comfortable. Over all we felt very good and enjoyed our time at the hotel.
Internet was really lame, staff at the bar not that friendly. Awful breakfast coffee. A lot of things are broken or damaged. Slightly overpriced.
Location is perfect. 5 minute walk to downtown area.
The views were beautiful.
Very difficult to find. A far walk to the beach. The floors are never cleaned- so much dust and dirt. We would enter the room after a day out, shower and walk into the room from the bathroom and our feet would be dirty again!
Did not get what I booked. And up in the 5th floor and the lift out of order for most of the 9 days
