The location is just great, incredibly central, in front of the tube station, in the main shopping road and really well connected. The staff is ok, not incredibly friendly but nice enough. In front of the hotel there are 2 good bars, quite handy especially for breakfast (as the hotel breakfast is unfortunately pretty awful!) The room was clean and every day well tidy up. We could check out but leave our bags till end of the day, it was very kind and great!
We had 2 rooms, one was good, the other one was ok. The bathroom of one of them was not amazing - small morrow light not working, shower leaking everywhere because it was a half bath with a crazy long curtain. No carpet to put your feet on getting out of the shower on a slippery floor (there was a nasty rubber carpet to put I believe inside the shower - we didn't use it bleah!) Everything in Portugal is so cheap if we talk about food so be clever do not take the breakfast in the hotel, spend 3€/4€ for a coffe, tea, juice and a nata pastry at the bar just outside, really it's not worth to poison your holiday with the terrible breakfast in the hotel!
Great location 1to enjoy the city ,2 to transport, 3.to shoping,4. but either to relax
Breakfast -why in good hotel is not served varied cheese, fruits and vegetables?
Excellent location, spacious and comfortable room.
Breakfast facilities too crowded, relatively low quality and little diversity of food, considering the price.
I didn't like being given an inferior room to what I booked. I was also locked into paying the booking.com price even though I wasn't given the described room. I'll not use booking.com or hotel again.
The Hotel is in a great location, there's a lovely coffee shop underneath it. The room was very spacious and spotless. I would have liked a room overlooking the main street but all and all it was very good and I would recomend it and return to this hotel.
The location was perfect
The uneven floor boards in the corridor. The paper thin walls between rooms. The noise outside and inside the hotel.
great location in the heart of Lisbon. Just next door to the shops around Chiado and only a few metres from the Bairro Alto's nightlife. Recently refurbished rooms.
being built into an old building has its charm - but also means that in terms of noise the rooms are not really well isolated and you hear anyone walking on the corridors. Bathroom facilities in our room were not very cleverly designed...
The first room we were given was old, dark and disgusting and smelled very bad. I went down to the desk and politely said the room had a smell, and asked for a room without carpeting (which I had requested on the booking). We were given a newly renovated room at the top floor, which we kept and I will describe here. Hotel is in a nice central location, on pedestrian street, in the middle of stores, restaurants. Comfortable bed, pillows, clean room, remodeled. I have mixed feelings, but overall if you can handle a little weirdness (see below) and can get a remodeled room at the hotel, it's worth it.
Noisy hallway and hall floor. We could hear every word spoken by everyone in the hall. The housekeeping ladies were unnecessarily noisy. The room we stay in was remodeled but strange, no light in the wc room, no light in the shower room. Mouldings not finished. Tv didn't work. Regular staff at front desk (two men) did not acknowledge guests' existence. Thankfully there were two women working the desk when Transavia cancelled our flight (at the last minute) and we needed to stay one more night. The hotel was full, and these women went out of their way to enable us to stay one more night.
The staff in check in counter do anything Very slow, let all people wait, and got wrong room for us until we complain about it.
Good location for shopping. Nice breakfast buffet.
Lots of street noise well into the early morning hours. Difficult to find especially if you're driving.
Location was superb, right in the centre of all thats happening, 50 yards to the metro station, lovely cafe bars directly outside the hotel, one stays open until 2am, street entertainers also close to the cafe bar. The hotel was excellent, rooms were clean and tidy, staff were great, I will be making a return visit to lisbon and borges chiado will be my hotel.
On our first day we had no water to shower, the maintenance man fixed it afterwards however we did not have time to wait.
Its like a 2 stars hotel and no more than that. The only good thing is localization.
The location is excellent
Rooms are with old furniture, especially the carpet is old and dirty. There were no towels to put on the floor after shower so I would recommend that you take slippers with you. No free WI-FI. Breakfast is nothing special. Since the location is in a very popular area it is quite noisy. I didn't mind but if you have problems sleeping find another hotel.
Hotel is situated at an excelent location! Rooms were very clean and new towels were provided every day!
Hotel reception staff were very unfriendly and unsocial.. barely spoke two words.. words like welcome or good morning or have good day did not exist in their dictionary. Being a hotel located at city centre there was constant noise from the roads below. Closed windows did little job. For a 3star hotel, the breakfast was poor. Very poor.
The location is perfect. At a vey nice small square where every evening music plays or artists perform. Breakfast was much better as expected looking at all reviews. The beds were great.
We had first a renovated room that really looked nice but switched because people had smoked in that room (although it's forbidden in the hotel) so there was a bad smell. Then we got a non renovated room which was huge but not that nice. The ladies at the reception were very friendly, the guys not.
Clean Bed ok Bus to Disney came regularly
Lots of staff at reception but none available to help Asked for cot 4 times before it arrived (after my son had gone to sleep) Food absolutely terrible and over priced Very limited decorations and theme Pool too small for hotel
room was different than our booked room(for example not 30 m2).back rooms was very bad , small, not useful and bad smell. So should be careful about given rooms. We ve had to change three times.
I really liked the location of the hotel. It's in the heart of the city, very easy to approach any famous part of the city from here.
There's no parking in the hotel, and in that area is very expensive - not good choice if you have a car! The room was with a doulbe bed, which was actually just a bit bigger then a single bed (let's say i big single bed). Breakfast was really low quality (option of 3 different things, but all of them had no quality; at nine o'clock no clean plate, knife and fork, staff is not controlling the situation) No noise isolation We didn't receive 2 sets of towels There's no internet in the deal
location; the most right spot staff; friendly breakfast; not expect much but enough varity
rooms: not given the room that is shown(no large windows) but that was alright
The location was excellent
We were given an older room that had not been updated. The room had a strong smell as if the soft furnishings had not been cleaned in a long time and the bedding was damp. The bed sheets on one bed were dirty and so was the bathroom sink. We asked to have the sheets changed at reception and went out for the evening. When we came back this had not been done. At one in the morning I had to change the sheets myself and clean the sink. When we went down for breakfast we could see that some of the rooms have been renovated and were a much better standard than ours. When I complained about the sheets and sink on checking out we were not offered any compensation or explanation.
All + s
Excellent location. Next to Metro and tram stop no. 28. Locate on hot shopping spot. Safe even at night. Room and bathroom are spacious.
Limited breakfast options.
The location could not be better. Just next to the subway and in one of the nicest streets....great
Our room was very oldschool...no nicely or modern furniture, .... OK, but not good. But I saw other rooms while walking by that looked better
The location of the hotel is excellent. There's a Lisbon landmark near the entrance, where you can have a great cup of coffee and you can get really quick to all tourist attractions. Also, Bairro Alto is in walking distance, if you'd like to eat and have a drink.
The first room I got had a strange smell and the ceiling was a little wet. The staff was kind though and gave me another one. The breakfast is quite basic.
Excellent location, good price
Don't bother to go to their breakfast! I had to wait 20 minutes to get a spoon and coffee is just horrible
