The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. It seemed a good value for the money.

The location was generally good, but it was uphill.

1. The staff go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. 2. The breakfast. It's good to have a cooked option and their fruit selection is excellent.

The location was great, breakfast included. Bathroom in the hotel room was clean and neat, the room as well. Carpets are pretty funny looking, but added character. All and all the location was excellent just north of the active Bairro Alto area and a quick walk away from great restaurants and nightlife. go for it!

The pillows were not too comfortable, nor was the bed. But it wasn't the end of the world and sleeping was easy.

- it has all that you need and is at a quite small price: clean, spacy room with minibar and nice bathroom - reception staff is very friendly

- as expected at the price, it's not a 'luxury' place, so furniture is a little bit outdated

The location is perfect. just 10 minutes walk into the centre and 5 minutes to the nightlife. The staff are very helpful and friendly. don't be put off by people saying it is a steep walk. It is a mild gradient which is no problem at all and the walk to the nightlife is a straight route. I loved it here.

Handy to the old part of Lisbon.

Noise in the streets all night. Feelers seedy at night. The bed was extremely hard.

Staying at the Botanico hotel was very nice. The rooms are clean, breakfast is good and the receptionist extremely friendly and helpful. They helped us with everything. The location is also one of the pluses. It only takes about 5 minutes to get to the metro station and you can easily walk to the city center. All in all, Hotel Botanico gives you a lot for a reasonable price. I would definitely recomend it to anyone who likes to stay in a good location and doesn't want to pay a lot for a room.

The rooms were very clean and they served you a glass of welcome port when you arrive!

Right across from a night club--LOUD all night, until around 5 am. Heater did not work, nor did curtains close all the way, very cold room. Unattentive staff. I travel 2-3 times a month for business and leisure and this is among the worst places I have stayed in the last couple of years!!

Walking distance close to the things we were interested in and also close to tourist office and yellow/red tourist bus stops. Easy to walk to local neighborhoods of interest to my wife and I

Steep hill to climb and sidewalks slippery when wet! Not the fault of the hotel of course. We also found it impossible to leave the window of the room open due to the noise of the all-night club across the street!

Excellent location five minutes from underground good clean rooms and welcome drink.

The staff were amazing!! I've stayed in a 5 star hotel in Lisbon before but this 3 star hotel was definitely one of the best I've ever stayed in!! Great view from our room, clean and lots of space, staff with lots of good honest advice on where to eat, drink and getting about the city. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Good service. Helpful staff. They carried our luggage from street to room. No guest house or apartment rentals offer this service in Lisbon. Very clean hotel and the room. Excellent location. Best value for money in Lisbon. Quiet location.

Room was a little bit small. There was a little uphil walk to the hotel in the last 150 meters. It did not bother us even though I had a knee problem.

We loved this place, very generous sized room with great views over the city. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The location was excellent, an easy walk from attractions and short, easy stroll home from Bario Alto area.
