Great value for money, good place for a one night stay. Pretty worn out but clean. Radio in the bedhead as a trace of pre-digital age. Candies at the reception desk:) Supermarket downstairs.
Noise from the nearby tire mounting
Very helpful and friendly staff. Calm environment, seaside location, shops and snackbars nextdoor and beautiful landscape. Clean rooms, breakfast with big variety of food.
the place is delightful so handy and convenient for shops etc. we loved the balcony and sea view. Can't wait to return.
The staff. The room. The view. The breakfast. The late checkout. The room upgrade. The location.
Nice view from the hotel terrace.
The hotel doesn't have own parking.
Kind personal, very good ratio prize and accomodation quality. I can recommend.
Internet connection only at lobby or roof snack bar.
Location, Staff, Price,
WiFi only on the reception and in the bar.
Not a very nice building but a good spacious comforableroom, good bed, good bathroom, nice little balcony.very good breakfast, a lot of choice.
Only paid parking, quiet expensive. Very small pool.
We liked the location of hotel and the friendlyness of the locals and of corse the continuing good weather .
Not over keen on local cuisine as I am a non fish eater.
Location was really nice
The bathroom bidet fell apart whilst in use and cut all my upper right leg. I complained and the receptionist said sorry and while I asked for my than a sorry she just replied how the hotel prices are already really cheap
Old furniture, no wi-fi in the room, dark room.
I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It is located on the main street of Ribeira Brava with beautiful views over the sea. Room was big and comfortable, with tea and coffee maker and fridge, with balcony, everyday service. Great breakfast with variety of food. For the price it seemed unreal to stay in such a place. I think they must raise the prices pretty soon. There is no wifi in the rooms but it is standard in Madeira. Wifi is always available only in the lobby so I didn't expect to have connection in the room. At the roof there are small swimming pool and sun beds, also beautiful view for the bay. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t want to spend too much and yet live in comfort.
Good staff, clean and value for money
Poor facilities, poor quality breakfast, the Whole hotel is getting tried and is in urgent need of face lift, carpets have stains colour gone, baths worn out, could go on.
Very friendly, great cost benefit, great localization, every facilities in the neighbourhood
Old Construction and furniture
Fantastic location in quiet seafront road. Hotel under new management since March 2014 and staff were making a real effort to make the hotel successful although it seemed quite empty when we were there. We would definitely go back.
near the sea, buffet breakfast
Spacious room overlooking the promenade yet quiet location.
No real lounge facilities.
Sea view, balcony, a spacious suite with kitchenette. Convenient for bus network and local cafés. Real value for money.
Out of season, so few folks there and a bit eerie.
Excellent value. Spacious room with large balcony. Breakfast.
Although the hotel is more than 25 yrs old, the rooms are clean and simply equipped with a small kitchenette... If you are tourists and you need accommodation for a reasonable price, it is a hotel for you.
old furniture, the bed was not very comfy (but fine).
Staff where very helpful and friendly. Sea is on the door step although the beach is rocky. The views from the hotel both along the coast and up the valley where stunning. Good value for money.
The position by the sea is good but being close to the seafront area there was disturbing chatter from early shop workers (7am!) and the late drinkers(midnight) which gets a bit irritating. There is little to do locally so travel is essential and to Funchal is about 20 mins on the fast bus and considerably longer on the slow bus. So a car is probably the best option.
Location is the only good thing.
Staff was very unpleasant. They say they have wifi in common areas on the web, but they don't, they tell you to use the free zone wifi and sarcastically tell you "if you can", obviously i could't get through to use the wifi.
The room, very spacious with kitchen. We had the sea side, very much enjoyed the view!
There was cockroaches
