Browns Downtown Hotel    

Location is superb and staff is friendly. Rooms cozy and oriented to a personal needs from device perspective (Apple lovers must go there :) ). Would definetly stay next time.

Air conditioning was not particularly cool and ceiling fan not very effective, room was a bit too warm at night even in mid Spring.

Perfect located. Walking distance from everywhere near Baixa and high part. 10 minutes walking distance to San George castle. Nice rooms, very quit and many details makes this hotel a perfect place for an urban stay.

clean, smart design, airy...but that was the upstairs suite....the other room we bokked was called medium, but was very small and rather dark. the young man at the front desk was excellent.

The people at the back working on computer should either want to help you or they should be not visible to you; they weren't very friendly and acted as if you were interrupting them altho there was no one else at the reception

very nice staff. every room has imac and ipad there. the bland of hair dryer is bosch. everything is cool! great location!

Staff were so helpful...sat us down with a good Lisboa map and explained sites to visit on our arrival, printed maps for us etc etc. Location near metro station and easy walking to main sites made it very convenient for walking.

The shower flooding the bathroom was the only negative

The location is great. The apple in the room is a super plus!

Too bad there is no breakfast option, but there are many pastelarias around where you can have great Portuguese sweets.

Contemporary feel of the hotel, location (close to shops, tourist spots and barrio alto) very clean and spacious

No light above where the large mirror is - very dark in the room in the evenings when you don't get outside lights, privacy of the bathroom - can hear everything when in the room with other people.

The decor is fantastic! The rooms are new and modern, but cozy. They have an iMac and iPad in every room which is so handy. The location is right in the middle of things and while you need to go a distance for a really good restaurant, there are plenty of tourist restaurants and cafes.

The hotel is in an old building and it has not been well insulated between floors or at the windows. It was quite noisy above us even though they were just walking normally on the wood floors. It wasn't terrible, but it is there so light sleepers should beware!

It was a great 4 day experience. Close to good / great seafood.

Lack of car parking - however if I had done my homework properly I would not have bothered with a hire car - the Metro is brilliant

brilliant hotel, strong design element, great location, free ground coffee downstairs (great idea !), lots of books and magazines to read downstairs, very smart well thought out room.

the safe isn't big enough to hold a lap top , and it shows how good the place is that I had stretch my mind...

I did like the concept, location and the originality. Also when i checked(24/02/13) in there was a trainee, witch did everything possible to acomodate all the requests. Very professional and nothing seemed to a problem.

The room was very cold and the air con, very, very noisy. When i checked out 25/2/13 and contrary to the check in, everyone was cold, not a smile or a thank you.Even the cleaning lady was much nicer.

The location is superb. Right at the heart of the old town and within easy walking distances you may reach any public transport, variety of restaurants & bars, museums, the river, post office, etc. I have met four reception personnel during my stay. All spoke perfect English and were genuinely helpful. Lounge area is just great to catch your breath after a day of strolling around. I stayed in one of the small rooms and it was more than ok for me. Enough space, comfy bed, nice bathroom, sufficient kitchen and of course the imac & ihome. Next time in Lisbon I would surely stay here again.

Some bags of tea and a few bites to eat in the kitchen could have been nice. Because although it is a well equipped kitchen, one cannot go straight to grocery shopping after arriving at the hotel. Shower door did not stop all the water from shower. However there were enough towels so I just spared one of them to dry the floor up.
