Score from 1345 reviews Very good
The location of this hotel is excellent, close to all attractions. We upgraded to a room with a balcony and river view which was well worth the extra cost. All of the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast choice was good.
Great Location, Beautiful Building, Great views - Stayed longer just for the hotel.
Location very nice hotel
Late maid service 5:00one night did not seem to replenish toiletries as needed
Needed to log on wifi several times.
Location, food, service.
Only one lift.
Elegant public spaces
Cramped rooms. We had a junior suite which might have suited a minor but little space for grown ups. Friends had a double room with little space for a suitcase.
Location + decor
Very small single room
The hotel is located right where you need to be in Porto. Excellent location by the river and mins away for the city attractions. I loved the interior / quality of furniture. Would totally recomment the hotel and recomment Porto, very lovely city.
The only thing which really needs to be improved is the WiFi. It was such a pain to get the password every 24 hours and re-logain.
This hotel is in the heart of the old town by the water, has a very cool look and design and very professional and helpful staff. Everything worked as it should.
Nothing I didn't like. The single room did not have a view, but that doesn't really matter since you don't spend much time there in any case.
Nice room at the side of the hotel with no noise at night. Good breakfast.
Could not adjust the air conditioning which was set to the lowest fan speed.
the situation and the way it was refurnished
the noise was sometimes too much and the windows were not enough to stop it
Perfect location for tourism, closed to everywhere. Helpful staff. New and clean bathroom.
Noisy street outside. A bit dusty at windows area
Hotel is beautiful and modern. It was a great location. A little bit of a walk from the metro station. The hotel staff was so helpful in making recommendations for great restaurants (of any price range) and activities to do. The hotel recommended and booked us a private wine/porto tour that took us through the mountains.. It was amazing! Loved everything about. The hotel made our stay in Porto such a great experience.
Good location. Well designed modern hotel in an old building. Very good restaurant. Nice bar and bar food. Professional and friendly staff.
Bedroom a little too small. Bed could have been more comfortable. Water pressure for the shower was poor. Slightly absurd that you have to enter a new username and password every day to get wifi.
We absolutely loved this hotel. It's right next to the river and our room had an awesome view of it all. We loved the stone and exposed metal style of the lobby and reception area. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. A little on the small side, but that's all relative to what you are used to (we are American). The front desk staff were absolutely amazing and have us great recommendations (you MUST go to Graham's winery, it will blow you away). We have been traveling all over Spain and Portugal and this was by far our favorite hotel. It will not disappoint!!!
We had to re-enter the wifi login info pretty much every time we used it, which got annoying, but not a huge deal when that was literally the only "problem" we had.
The location of the hotel was amazing, with easy access to all the sights of Porto. The staff were excellent and very nice to our group. I have already recommended this Hotel to friends of mine in Australia and the USA who are planning trips to Europe in the next year.
Location was great, right in old part of Porto, street traffic not a problem at all during the night. Hotel interior layout was really interesting, cave-like with gorgeous stone walls, very open with glass partitions, classy hotel, lots of character. Quite good breakfast, plenty of fresh coffee. Disabled access is good with seat over bath which was ok for us but may be difficult for some, bed was a bit high off the floor.
Breakfast servery area was not the best design for accessing buffet, tended to feel congested and food was not hot enough. Variety was ok. Some staff members were somewhat unfriendly.
Wifi didn't work in my tiny room. Not very comfortable. Disappointing.
Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good.
When we made the reservation we has asked for a room with a large bed. However, upon arrival we were given a room with twin beds. Only after discussions with the person at the reception we got what we wanted. Parking is rather expensive (30 Euros for 2 nights).
The hotel looks as though it has been recently refurbished so it has a stylish / new ambiance. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Wifi was good quality and free (although it was necessary to obtain a new password every day to access it). There was a decent selection of food for breakfast.
The hotel is set on a small hill. You enter the hotel at the level of the street on the top of the hill, but a number of the bedrooms are on floors below that level. We were on floor "-1" and so the room had a slight 'basement' feel about it in that it was fairly dark, even during the day. Our standard room was also pretty small for two fairly petite ladies.
Location and Staff.
No exhaust in the toilet.
Location good and central, parking easy ,taxis opposite. Room spacious, very comfortable beds, superb shower. Very good breakfast Excellent senior receptionist who told us where & where not to go & recommended an amazing restaurant for dinner which made our stay in Porto so memorable
Check in very poor, had to ask about everything. Senior receptionist saved the day later on. location of room bad, at the end of a long corridor with drilling going on outside the window. Senior receptionist offered us another room but first one was more spacious & drilling stopped overnight. As with many hotels in old buildings finding way back to room was quite a challenge.
Everything were perfect except a strange smell in hotelroom so we needed each time to open the windows, but the view was beautiful.
Odd to have a window to the room in the bathroom, but the electric shade worked well after we figured out how it worked.
