Weather!! During late autumn and winter, wind and rain better choose hotel in Porto. Otherwise BB&GH should be great place for nice weather and summer. For those who need silence, escape from people, walking alone even in the winter might be good choice. |

The view from the balcony was amazing, and the way the balcony was covered in will windows was amazing. It meant the afternoon sun was caught making for a lovely evening. If you are staying do not expect much from the breakfast. Included is scone like croissants, and stale bread (with no place to toast it), cold coffee and juice. All additional items are extra to the inclusive fee. Also there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, for a hotel of this standard I would expect these facilities at the very least. |

Great hotel, wondeful off season price and fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Bus stop into Porto right across the road. Breakfast also very good. The girl on the afternoon/evening shift was really friendly and helpful The guy on the morning/day shift was very abrupt, rude and unhelpful. He should be taught a few basic rules of social etiquette when working in the hospitality industry. Hotel computer not working. |

its location next to the ocean, english-speaking personnel, breakfast we checked out early in the morning and no breakfasr was provided even it was discussed in advance. Typically hotels give you a plastic bag with snaks as a compensation of the missed breakfast |

the hotel staff were fantastic,they were friendly,cheerful and helpful with questions on bus time tables,places to see, places to eat and they even seemed to be well informed about what the weather would do! using the rental bikes was a great way to get into the city and travel up and down the beach front exploring things you would other wise drive straight past. we thought that the facilities needed bringing up to date,mainly the spa area. |

The hotel has a good location close to the beach. The room we had was on the first floor (room 113). We looked on the roof of the swimming pool. There was a lot of noise coming from this roof. In order not to hear this noise, the hotel had constructed an extra glass window on the balcony. We could not sleep with a window open due to this noise and had to close both the window on the balcony and the window of our room. This kept the noise outside the room. We preffered to have some nice fresh air but this was not possible. |

Vilanueva de Gaia is so near to the city of Portoand yet quite different. We loved the spa, the excellent and friendly service, our beautiful room, and the sound of the Atlantic lulling us to sleep. We took buses to explore, and when tired relaxed in the spa, ate in the excellent restaurant and strolled the beach. Altogether a perfect break - thank you to all! |

The ocean view was great. The staff were wonderful. They were fluent in several languages. Room service till midnight was great, my girlfriend enjoyed that.The breakfast room had the most beautiful ocean views .I miss them very much..... |

The view from our room was stunning, and the breakfast was very good. The SPA facilities are quite limited - the jacuzzi wasn't working very well and the steam rooms weren't very pleasant. Still, you definitely get the SPA experience. Also, take a swimming cap, as they require it but don't lend it. |

Nice and clean and good location A double room does not mean it has a double bed at this hotel!! I booked a double room and was quite dissappointed when I turned up and was given 2 single beds. The safe did not work and it is right next to a noisey, 6 day a week, construction site. |
