We stayed in the second week of March 2023, the weather was nice during the day (+18c) only in the morning and evening the temps are and going down and it can be pretty chilly. Especially the elevation differences are great in this area and nature is astonishing. Make sure you have gps you can easily get lost if your not familiar with the surrounding area.

It's a great place for nature lovers!

It's a great place for nature lovers! If you are looking for the usual extra large Portuguese Shopping Centers, you are in the wrong place... This is a place for enjoying nature, breathing in all that abundance of fresh air and explore some of the local villages and culinary customs. Pedrogão Grande is a place where the forests are still growing after the disaterous fire of 2017. Despite the great tragedy to territory and especially life and families and their grieving losses, you have the sense of a great community spirit, putting all they have to rebuild a natural and very welcoming place. There are a few spiritual places dotted in the area were peeple (locals and foreigners) make their leaving by helping others with their own spiritual journeys. This area provides this kind sanctuary, where one can be away in peace from the stressful and often with no respite lives of city workers/dwellers like myself. Happy travellings!
