Casa was charming, and Marvao was fantastic. It is a lovely town in an incredible location. Be there at sunset if possible.
Location is simply great and the hosts are really welcoming.
There is room for improvement, if the hotel wants to keep up with the high marks. The rooms could be more attractive and the bathroom more comfortable (the shower recess was basic and didn’t have a soap dish).
Excellent location. Fantastic views from the balcony in the upper floor. The couple who run the place are very friendly and helpful. The accommodation and bathroom are adequate, though somewhat dated. The breakfast is adequate, with a variety of jams and a choice of fruits.
Very friendly welcome (incl. homemade liqueur!!), comfortable rooms, very good breakfast
Everything was perfect and we didn't miss anything. Especially the common terrace from where you can see the sunset is wonderful.
Great hospitality from the persons in charge, comfortable room, familiar ambience and the breakfast was amazing. In extraordinary place like Marão, Casa da Árvore helps us to decide to visit again.
Very good quality of room, excellent breakfast, very charming hosts, excellent!
Some vegetables would be a great complement to the otherwise delicious breakfast!
Great place to stay, I can recommend it wholeheartedly!!!
rooms were small and poorly equipped. we could hear noise from the next room and from the reception section which is somehow located right in the corridor. staff was indifferent, breakfast items were all from a nearby supermarket. what's the point of being in Alentejo when food served in the hotel comes from a supermarket? totally unmemorable place...
This is a delightful village and the welcome and standard of hospitality at casa da arvore is excellent. We have now visited on four occasions and would highly recommend it.
Breakfast a bit limited compared to some but ok
Peace quiet and great views
Great location, really friendly owners, good price, would surely reccomend it!
Rooms reminded me of my childhood ie fairly spartan but still acceptable.
Superb location with views from our room and the communal terrace Very friendly family run place. Liked that we were given our own key.
Everyone that visits Marvao deserves to know there is a place like casa da arvore there! awsome! Excellent service. Amazing view! A hotel with Alentejo's spirit. Thanks to the owners that give you the greatest welcome. felt like home.
