Casa Da Nora

Our experience at Casa da Nora started when one of the hotel's owners personally escorted us by car from the Leiria town center to his hotel. From that point on through our entire stay, it seemed that the family who runs the hotel took pride in personally making sure that our visit went smoothly -- whether by making suggestions on their restaurant's menu, or by giving us directions and recommendations to nearby attractions. The staff has easy access to the internet, so not many of your questions to them will go unanswered. Stay in one of the river view rooms if you can. The view is nicer, and the sunrise might make a brighter start to your day. When you're staying at the Casa da Nora, it feels like you're in the quiet countryside. But actually you're only about 3 or 4 miles from the Leiria town center, which features a range of amenities. There seemed to be many historical points of interest within 45 minutes drive. However, our main purpose was a visit to Fatima, which was a pleasant 25 minute drive away.

This family-run hotel is darling. The owners are very helpful and made our stay very pleasant.

No choice of teas for breakfast which is a shame because breakfast was very nice.

The atmosphere was wonderful and the renovation work was done in the best possible taste and high standard. The food at the restaurant was the best we experienced in Portugal. The owner and staff were superb making Casa Da Nora one of our favourite hotels.

The comfort, the quietness, the style of the place (it was the perfect combination between the classic and the modern). It was close to the city, but with enough distance to feel we were in the country.

Just that they advertise cable TV and free wireless. The channels were 2 or 3, and the wireless didn't work. But then again, we went there to relax and enjoy the country, and not to sit and watch TV.

We enjoyed our visit very much. Wish it could have been a longer stay. Very Charming and comfortable surroundings. One of our favorites Our host was a delight. We loved the food and the good wine.

The Casa has been beautifully renovated and has great facilities for it's size. The staff and food are excellent as was the level of care and friendliness of the owner.

A vista para o rio

Personeel combineert discretie aan een vriendelijke servicegerichte aanpak. Vrij uitgebreid ontbijt en goede keuken. Opmerkelijke netheid in volledig gebouw en rondom zwembad. Fijne attentie bij het weggaan ! Perfecte uitvalsbasis ook voor dagtrips.

El hotel está ubicado en un pueblo tranquil. El personel profesional y amigable.Habitaciónes confortables.

El pueblo, Cortes, aparece un poco abandanado, pero merece la pena visitar el museo.

Tranquilidade do espaço envolvente, simpatia dos colaboradores, design e actualidade da decoração dos quartos, qualidade do restaurante.

Foi muito agradável e relaxante. O ruído da água do Rio Liz no açude vizinho não desmente os versos do poeta António Lopes Vieira, antigo proprietário da casa, que se lhe referiu como poderoso indutor do sono e do descanso. O quarto era moderno e funcional. Os funcionários/proprietário educados, eficientes e simpáticos. A comida do restaurante e, bem assim, a carta de vinhos excelentes e variadas. Tem uma pequena piscina, muito limpa e um terreiro relavado em volta, propícios a longas tardes de preguiça e leitura. Se poder voltarei.

Apenas não apreciei a proximidade de uma gaiola de aves em relação á piscina, embora admita que possa interessar a crianças.
