Sintra is a beautiful village and the historic center is charming and very accessible from Casa da Pendoa. The village has many restaurants and shops to explore, several castle/ palace attractions and a wonderful park to wander and hike through. Getting to the Casa da Pendoa is very tricky and the roads are EXTREMELY narrow. We parked the car And then walked everywhere after that. The apartment is very spacious but needs better lighting or more lamps in the living room area. We were given several phone numbers in case of emergencies but the front desk was not staffed all the time to be able to ask questions about the area. There is no lift if one has mobility issues. In fact the village itself does not lend itself to physical challenges.

I loved everything about it. It was a bit hard to find, but we managed and even had a parking space behind the hotel. Staff was wonderfully friendly and service-minded and the apt. was marvellous.

This is just a WOW place, we booked studio room but were upgraded to 6 rooms appartment, which was too large for 2 of us, to say the truth :-). The place is very nicely decorated, very cosy, with a superb living room to have a cosy evening with a bottle of wine. David from reception is very friendly, careful and helpful! We received clear instructions how to get to the apartments before our arrival, so there was no peroblem to find the palce. The location is in the heart of beautiful Sintra. I wish them as much clients as possible - they are the best! Absolutely perfect

Where to start? Well, for one, our night at Casa de Pendoa was the least expensive of our 3 week trip to Portugal and Spain, and was among the very best accommodations we had. Their apartments truly feel like home. Extremely spacious rooms overlook the surrounding countryside with views all the way to the Atlantic. The rooms are very modern, spotless, and well soundproofed. Unlike most of the accommodations in Europe, noise is a non-issue. The well stocked kitchen is way nicer than ours at home, and to our surprise, they throw in pasta to cook, homemade olive oil and wine vinegar, as well as a decanter full of delicious port! We visited during the offseason and paid somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 eur. I would practically move in permanently for that price! Right in the center of old town Sintra and an easy walk to all of the historic sites. I wish we had given up a night or two in Lisbon for more time here, as staying in Sintra (especially at Pendoa) was much better than time in the city. No need to look anywhere else if you are staying in Sintra. I wish that an "11" rating could be added to booking.com just for this hotel! None other than the fact it spoiled us and set the bar very high for the rest of the trip!

This place offers apartments for a very well adjusted price. We were lucky and got the biggest apartment because it was available that night. It is very nicly furnished, well equiped and is located very well in the city center. The parking is difficult in the high season. You should bring time and patience.

We booked a 3 bedroom apartment and were upgraded to 4 bedroom apartment. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious and nicely decorated. It was right in the centre of town, near the sights, bus-stops and restaurants. It was the best apartment we have ever stayed and if we ever visit Sintra again then we definitely will choose Casa da Pensoa again. Little difficult to find.

A good location for getting out and about.A good shower and a reasonable bed.A TV and a good small kitchen.Sintra is a superb place to visit but flat is not the place to do it from. This room had damp that was visible in black patches and that you could smell in the air.The dehumidifier that was in place did little to impact on what was an unhealthy smelly environment -especially for anyone with a respiratory problem.Had it not been for the short duration of our stay we would have terminated this arrangement.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment. We liked the location and all the room. We had a washer and a full size refrigerator with fully equipped kitchen. We only stayed 2 days, so we used the kitchen for only coffee and tea. The town is shut down by 10pm. If you take your time to have dinner you may not find anything to eat.

On arrival we were offered an upgrade to their amazing whole floor 4 bedroom apartment as we were travelling with 2 friends and we were offered the option to have the large apartment instead of the two separate rooms we had originally booked through you. The apartment had 4 bedrooms, an enormous lounge room a fully set up kitchen with every appliance available and a welcome basket with local produce.. There were 2 bathrooms, heated towel rails, . hairdryer, very good quality linen. The whole apartment was so luxurious, it could easily accomodate 8 people for a holiday. The views from the lounge room through the gorgeous white picture doors were so beautiful, over the valley to the castelo and gardens and to the left up to the top of the mountain castle on the top of the hill. There was antinque furniture mixed with a gentle modern feel, great art work, very comfortable bedding and excellent heating , two massive heating units heavens, it was divine and we extended a night. We paid 110 euro for the apartment for the first two nights and the third was 75 euro. This was for the four of us......we had originally paid 50euro per night and our friends paid 60 euro. Parking for our hire car was close by , the hotel is tucked down behind the tivoli hotel in town and so we were right in the action, only a two minute walk to the main square and palace. The two men at the reception were a delight, so polite and friendly and helpful, we just cant wait to get back there There was not one thing I could improve on, maybe the tv reception was a bit crackly but you dont go to a place like that to watch tv anyway

We travelled with another couple and on arrival they suggested that we consider their four bed apartment for our two night stay instead of the individual rooms that we had booked. This apartment was well equipped and simply stunning, the view, the decor and furnishings, the location. We were so at home we stayed another night. I highly recommend Casa da Pendoa and compliment David and staff. Absolutely nothing.

It was amazing! We only stayed one night but wish we would have stayed more! The hotel staff was so sweet and helpful. Sintra is beautiful! It's a must! It was tough to find, but that's our fault *it's on the road behind the Hotel Tivoli. If you're driving then drive past hotel tivoli and turn the immediate sharp 180* left turn. There's a 'do not enter' red sign but it's not for the road you need to get to Casa da Pendoa.

I stayed in Room 3 - studio with one bedroom and mountain view (no much of a mountain view but the rooms were bright due to the natural light). The rooms are nicely decorated and had all the necessary amenities required. Coffee powder, tea bags and some cold water in the fridge were also provided, very nice touch. Casa da Pendoa is conveniently located in the old town centre (20+ min walk from the train station) which allows guests to walk 1-2 min to restaurants, tourist information centre and bus stop with bus 434 to the sights. I do not know what is the general rate in Sintra but having travelled around Spain and Portugal, I thought Casa da Pendoa was very good value for money given the comfort, amenities and location. The reception was not in (it is only opened from 10am to 5pm) when I wanted to check in on my first day so I had to wait outside the apartments until they arrive.
