Parking isn't easy - But the owners are not to blame as it's an historical area, without new infrastructures.
Friendliness and availability of the staff. The details: Fresh bread in the morning outside our door and some delicious pumpkin jam on the fridge. Small room, but clean and with lots of natural light.
The only issue I had was that staff did not tell us the town basically shuts down at 7/8pm. We had not eaten dinner by then and ended up walking all over the place to find the one restaurant that was open - by this time it was 10 pm and we were not happy campers.
Staff were super friendly and informative and gave us a lot of great information. The breakfast was such a nice touch! Loved the view of the castle from the bedroom window.
The room was clean and well equipped with beautiful view. Special thanks to Sandra, she was very friendly and helpful.
We should have had the apartment cleaned ad the middle of our staying (1 week) but we never had it.
Excellent welcoming. The owner gave us excellent suggestions on what to visit and about good places to eat. The apartment was really very nice and well equiped, with tasteful welcoming food and drink inside. Free fresh bread every morning. Free washing machine.
Parking could be a problem but we managed to find a park outside both times we tried. We decided not to drive to Pena Palace on the sunday for fear of not being able to get a park later. The bus was ok, but we had to wait 30 mins for the first one. The 434 is scheduled to run every 15 mins from outside the info centre. Bread was provided each day for breakfast, which was great, but tasted like it was baked the day before. It would have been helpful to have more than 3 coffee tabs provided (or available) for a 3 night stay...mind you I didn't ask for more. We could hear the family in the room above, sometimes their boys sounded like a herd of elephants, but noise is going to be a problem in any building this old. I think we were just unlucky and earplugs solved the problem at night.
The room has amazing light, views, is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well enough equipped. The staff were helpful. We loved staying here and would happily choose this room again.
Parking is very challenging. The smaller the car the better.
Great location just a few minutes walk to the main square and the National Palace. Comfortable and spacious with everything we could need . Very quiet and lovely views from all the windows. Charming and helpful host.
Stove was a bit finicky.
Location, views, size, warm bread delivered daily, two bathrooms!
Problems with water running to slowly out of the shower bassin.
Little apartment with kitchen situated in the center of the city. Very kind and informative receptionist. Could find parking space right outside. Little closed courtyard for yourself. Bread brought to your door every morning.
Everything`s done with care: coffee machine, fresh bread for the breakfast. Absolutely clean and cozy. I loved my stay - thank you!
Hard to find by car
Location in the center of Sintra Accommodating staff
Staff is on site 24h, extremely helpful in all possible ways.
Cute apartment, friendly and helpful staff, warm bread delivered each morning to go with the jam and cheese they left us!
The main problem, as mentioned in other reviews is finding the place the first time. They sent us a beautiful google map ahead of time but I also called as we approached and Peter helped us find our way. Also, very important: if you rent a car, make sure it is easy to handle in very small and winding , old fashioned cobblestone streets. Parking is difficult now because of street construction.
The bed was so comfortable. The room was was warm and cozy (weather was rainy and cold). The shower was brilliant. (Bring your own sponge though). Location was central to important sites or buses. Kitchen fully stocked (but a carrot peeler). Staff was amazingingly helpful, especially Peter who we will never forget. ..
The rooms were clean, well furnished and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We had some problems with the hot water, but normally that was being fixed
The space, the facilities, the location, the service (especially the daily fresh bread)
Very limited on street car parking nearby and down very narrow backstreet - was fine when we were there in Jan/Feb, but could be a problem in high season
Location, space, facilities, cleanliness, staff, value for money
Wish the rest of the breakfast basket (juice, cheese, etc) had been replenished after the first day.
Warm welcome with overview of places to see. Unique and charming rooms. Perfect location in historic Sintra. Fresh bread buns delivered every morning.
The staff is super friendly and the facilities nice and clean! Location is also good.
Recommend getting there while there is still light. Apartment very hard to find. We were there in February so parking was not a problem.
Charming and spacious apartment with beautiful view. Great location.....less than a 10 minute walk to La Quinta de Regaleira which is a must see. Sintra National Palace just up the street.
the cosiness and beauty of the room and the friendly helpful staff. We are a family with children aged 2 and 4 and the staff and comfort made travelling restful and special. the location is Sintra and the view is great.
Although it is on a small street, it is very close to the town center. Room is warm in the night.
Everything! Sintra truly is beautiful as was our accommodation... Received upgrade with booking.com and were surprised and grateful. Staff picked us up from rail as place hard to find...but the location superb- another plus. Highly recommend this place.
Everything - from the staff who waited for me as I was arriving late, and welcomed me so warmly after a long and bad day; their advice on places to go to eat; facilities; the old character building, etc.
Everything was perfect. Thank you!
The bed was very SMALL for two persons - narrow and short. The NOISE from the repair works in progress. They started at 9 a.m. amd were over at 6 p.m., so we had not a single moment of peace and rest at daytime. One more source of noise - neighbours from the upper floor. You can hear every step and every movement of them due to the wooden floors. So you have two options to avoid it: you may stay at the upper floor or go to bed later than other guests.
Location is perfect! Quite in the centre of the town, close to several bus stops, but in a cosy backstreet, which makes it very quiet at night. The room and the bathroom are rather spasious, well equipped, with everything necessary for a long and comfortable stay, and very cleen. The view from the windows (there were four of them in our room!) was breathtaking - the hills of Sintra and the neighbouring villas. The staff was friendly and efficient.
