Location was excellent
Very basic, but clean with good but aged shower
Access to buses & trains.
Not too bothered that we didn't get the 'balcony with view of mountains' that the reservation stated. Sintra, in my opinion, is over-priced and over-rated!
Good location, VERY friendly landladies, very nice to the kids (3 and 6) breakfast (coffee, buns, ham or cheese) included in nearby bar, comfortable, very clean room. WiFi in the room.Secure private parking in the backyard.Very fair price. Would stay here again next time we come to Sintra.
Location is good, 10 min to city center. Not faw away from railway station. Near rail way station you can catch the bus for 5eur going to all 3 castles. Room was in general clean.
The smell of old humidity in the room was awful. After one night stay all the clothes was absorbed by this smell. No hangers in wardrobe. Lining was old. Sound isolation is poor. WiFi in 3rd floor do not worked at all. To find the place by GPS was very hard. The previous comment to navigate to Rua da Murta 1, Sintra also do not helped. We find the place form 3rd time using coordinates.
Very good location.
Nice big family room for 4 people, great value and location
It was quite a nice place but without a view as we were promised, anyway fine to spend some nights, budget, clean, and nice breakfast-coffee and nata, location is perfect!!!
Not very comfortable pillow,no view to the mountains
the good central position, nice conditions, value for money.
the host seemed kind of fussy and didn't speak any English at all, the room smelled very much like mold, so despite being clean and quite nice, with private bathroom, even a sort of a little terrace and WiFi (exactly what we were looking for), the moldy smell made it challenging to breath at night, especially since if you opened the windows there was quite some cars on the street, so kind of noisy, which made it hard for me personally to sleep. but despite the moldy smell and the noise, it was good and if you stay just a couple of days like we did, it is fine.
very easy from train station and very friendly staff. Pension style establishment and very clean.
Bed was not the most comfortable but adequate
The lady owner was very pleasant and helpful. The property was immaculately clean and well maintained. The parking was excellent and the location by the station was ideal with a 15 minute walk to the tourist centre. Wifi reception was excellent.
No facilities in the room or house for making a hot drink and the lack of breakfast being included was a major disappointment. Although there is a little café nearby that we were sent to, it doesn't make up for not being able to make a hot drink in the room.
Easy walk up to the castle, park and palaces. Better to use the buses than try to drive and park near the sights. Lots of restaurants around the are.
Early breakfast hard to find.
near the train station
The breakfast is not in the hotel, need to walk to the coffee shop down the street. Not a great breakfast comparing to other places that we stayed during the trip.
The location is very good, is very near by the train station.
Some staffs can't speak English. When I arrived at the hotel, I couldn't check in because a staff couldn't speak English. Wifi didn't work.
friendly In the center Quiet Nice advice for restaurant
breakfast a bit poor
Clean room and wifi worked in the room. Near the train.
small room and bath
Location in the old town was great.
A little hard to find.
Just next to the station. Nice building. Two out of 3 members of the staff were very nice.
I had to change the first room because it smelled of smoke. A member of the staff was very rude and not helpful at all. The room is ok for 1 person but small for 2. Room and fittings are quite old. Breakfast was in a nearby bar which was quite dirty and dark.
Nice room in the top floor - lots of light, clean bathroom, comfortable beds. Good accomodations for our family with two children. Location we easy to find - a 10-15 minute walk to the town center. Nice breakfast at a cafe up the street - made it easier for us to get started with our day.
Wi-fi signal didn't reach our 3rd floor room, so we had to sit on the first floor to use it. There isn't a comfortable sitting area to speak of, just a couple of chairs. We made it work.
Right across the street from the train station. Wonderful staff and so helpful in recommendations for visits in Sintra
Nice hotel. If you need to spend a couple of nights, this hotel is very good.
location, friendly staff/owner
Loved: location; cleanliness; simplicity; friendly, helpful staff; piping hot water.
pillows both quality and only one per person. Be great if they had tea/coffee making facilities in room to compensate for no lounge/coffee area in hotel.
This hostel is located next to the train station arriving from Lisbon. If you prefer to drop your luggage, settle in before walking into town (a pleasant walk of 10 to 15 mins) and other activities, this hostel would be ideal. For the price, it is good value. Breakfast in a cafe down the road is basic.
