Having to leave!
The friendly personal service.
Central location, swimming pool, lovely furnishings, friendly owner. super bathroom!
Small room with no wi fi.
The hospitality of the residential owner was wonderful and we loved the stories about the (family)history of the place. Our bathroom was amazing, complete in pink marble. Breakfast was great. We didn't know there was still a place where it is so quiet.
Everthing is carefully thought: great rooms, beautiful house, gardens and swimming pool, and the owner is the most amazing woman. I strongly recommend to spend time there, instead of thinking of it as a place to sleep. Is much more than that.
clean, comfort, friendly, good breakfast
bathroom to small, not ease to find with out direction.
Hospitality of the team, great breakfast, very nice facilities, quietness of the hotel
The building is an old Jesuit school which was converted into a family home and is still a family home but with 7 very attractive guest rooms. It has been beautifully decorated, and there is a pool in the garden as well as a large sitting room for guests. Breakfast was very good, with fresh fruit and local meats and cheeses. The best part was the lady of the house. She told us all about the history of the house and have us lots of information about the area. She was absolutely delightful. Highly recommended.
Kind, informative hostess, attention to detail of the beautiful interior decor by her sister-in-law, beautiful marble bathrooms, lovely gardens and pool, plentiful and varied, well presented breakfast - what's not to like?! Due to low season, excellent value for money. So enjoyable in fact that we just had to stay another night and thus had the chance to explore the beautiful little town of Vila Vicosa and its castle.
The kindness of the hosts. The charm of the house and the decoration that are in a perfect harmony. Perfect to stay and to enjoy some days visiting Alentejo.
The kindness of the hosts The atmosphere of the house The decoration
There was not a full lenght mirror in the room
Very well located. A little gem at the heart of Vila Viçosa. Well decorated renovated palace. Fabulous breakfast full of local products. The manager gave us very good tips about the village and the region as well as a scent of the rich heritage of the region. One of the best places we stayed at in Portugal.
Owner is very nice and likes providing useful info on the region.
There was an unpleasant smell of paint in the room due to a freshly painted closet.
Kindness and all detailed attentions from both hostess and staff. Also the extreme cleanliness and excellent location nearby all cultural attractions being itself an historical building beautifully restored . A superb bathroom all in local marble.Very good varied breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit.
The shower sometimes flooded the bathroom floor which could be easily rectified.
Beautiful old building, updated with tasteful renovations. Women to run it are very helpful and nice, and speak good English. Very clean. Has common areas with nice furniture & swimming pool; lots of marble. Breakfast is good too.
It can be a little awkward because you have to ring to get into the building instead of having a key. It didn't bother us ultimately, but if you wanted to be out partying late, it might not be the place for you (though I don't know where you'd do that in Vila Vicosa anyway...)
A delightful Hotel in a delightful historic town. This is a beautifully restored casa with fine details, friendly staff and a lovely feel, that you will want to come back to. Check out the amazing bathroom on the first floor! Thank you Manuela.
The whole ambiance was wonderful.a warm and friendly welcome, beautiful rooms, the views were magical.....and the breakfast were served so in the most luxurious setting.....and a picture to behold. The owners felt like old friends after 2 days...they really care about their clients and do everything to make a perfect stay.
Absolutely nothing....all perfect !!
The feeling that we were staying in a private home, and the presence of a garden with a swimming pool in the town center
The bed was a bit small
