Score from 898 reviews Very good
This place is simply great. A beautiful house up on a hill with a breathtaking view. We could use the living rooms on the first floor (three rooms are open to all guests), that was really nice.. there is a TV in one of them (not in the bedroom though, which we thought was a good idea). Breakfast is very good, too.
Great location - short walk to town. Lovely old home. Great breakfast. Friendly people.
Casa Miradouro was quiet, clean, and the room was very spacious. The staff, Donna and Malu, were courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful in every way possible.
Since I did not have a car and have medical issues I had to take a taxi to go up the steep hill to the village. I still wanted to do a few a few things my last morning but not enough to pay another 5 euro cab fare.
Excellent staff (Donna is super) Breakfast is outstanding Beautifully restored old house Parking is good, right behind hotel on street
1.Location is on an extremely steep single lane road, so that there is almost no room to walk to the town center without being hit by the cars that zoom by. 2. Our queen size bed had the 2 Northern European style single person size comforters, that won't tuck in, and always seem to slip off during the night. Also, they were extremely hot for sleeping in a Southern European climate, and couldn't be changed.
Room very nice with comfortable bed, staff very nice and very helpful, nice sitting rooms.
Walk into town is a steep hill so may be hard for some people
Breakfast, big rooms, coffee machines on each floor, pleasant outside seating, airport taxi to Lisbon, caring staff
The garden is very nice and the common areas of the hotel.
We took a superior room with balcony but unfortunately there was a bad smell in the room due to a leak on the roof and water damage of the walls. The so called balcony was just a "French" one it was not even possible to sit there. The room was very small and the roof was so low - we were really disappointed!
The staff was welcoming and extremely helpful. Charming facility with beautiful views. location near historic center. WIFI good. Breakfast was great with eggs cooked to order.
Location was at bottom of the hill. No AC No lift, so a problem for those of us with limited mobility, though staff was great about helping with luggage
Breakfast awesome and very nice ambience
The bed kept breaking everytime we sat on it (and we are not heavy) and despite of the few guests, the place was extremely noisy, total abscence of soundisolation.
Great location with fantastic views of the Moorish Castle and surrounding countryside. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The small touches like coffee on offer and bar service were excelletn for a boutique hotel. Breakfast was also very good...
The view, the breakfast, the elegant room itself, good value for money
We wished it was not a steep 7-8 minute walk from the centre.
Casa Miradouro was a little haven in a hectic holiday. So much attention to your every need was taken. It is a little blast from the past. We didnt take breakfast only because we wanted to use our time to experince breakfast in Sintra itself at a wonderful little patisserie.
Outstanding friendly staff from Filipina. Wonderful living room to relax, wonderful terrace for breakfast.
Poor WLAN especially in the upper floors. If WLAN would be better then this hotel would get rating 10.
Our flight arrived late meaning we did not arrive till late at the property, but that did not bother the staff. They where welcoming and very helpful. Following morning they helped with us get our bearings and location. It is a slight walk up a hill to get to the Historic Town Centre and also the main town in other direction. Room was perfect comfortable bed and nice sized bathroom. Most definitely stay here again upon my return to Sintra
location very central tasteful setting & furnishing large & comfortable room great atmosphere breakfast at sunny terrace super nice welcome & consultance about destination (restaurants etc.)
no dedicated parking space & finding some place is kind of difficult (narrow and steep streets around)
No on site parking, but even though in most of Sintra on street parking is difficult, there is good parking along the back of the hotel. Its a short (but steep) walk to the Sintra center.
Sintra can be busy and difficult to find parking. Miradouro is close enough to leave car and walk - great restaurant recommendations.
You need to be able to hike steep hill. Not for infirmed or disabled. No elevator. Rooms are on 2nd and 3rd floors.
A unique place.
Plumbing in bathroom did not work.Light bulbs needed to be replaced.
A truly magnificent Villa with the beautiful view from the balcony into the mountainside of Sintra. Breakfest is excellent in there.
Rooms can be noisy depending on the other guests. Walls and room door are paper thin. Beds were not very comfortable. The staff was mostly friendly except for one seemed almost suspicious towards all we did in public facilities og the guesthouse
Beautifully set up in every way, lovely room and bathroom, fantastic communal areas, wonderful views from our room, lovely garden for breakfast.
My husband would have a liked a TV in our room.
The view was lovely.
I didn't like the smell in the hotel. Very musty.
Fantastic views across to the key attractions of interest in the forests and high in the mountains, and to the Coast. The house is delightfully appointed with comfortable sitting rooms, activities and drinks and coffee available there, and very comfortable bedrooms. Ours had a lovely balcony and great views. The staff were welcoming, interested, informative and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and on one sunny morning, in the garden with views to the coast. It is a fairly steep walk up the road to the Sintra village centre, and less hilly to,the state village area, but Sintra is wall hills and so,it is expected! and good exercise. Car parking is available in the street at the back of the house. A lovely place of peace, away from the crowded touristy village and sights.
All very good, and we wished we had longer there. Sintra is very touristy, and can be crowded especially on weekends. So be prepared for that, and it is better to visit out of season or Sunday into mid week.
Nice old style house with beautiful views. Staff were friendly
