The staff/owners were very kind, the room was comfortable (big bed). The breakfast was nice too. Parking in the closed garden.

The four of us were warmly welcomed to Casa Shanti Niketan by Betinha and Sofia who both speak fluent English. This was especially nice after visiting Spain where we found very few people who spoke English. They helped us with information on trains, restaurants, and shopping. The home was beautiful. It was an oasis in the middle of the city of Monte Estoril. The rooms we stayed in each had a private balcony. We were invited to sit in the living room and visit with our friends/travelmates. It really was a home away from home, and we felt like we were adopted by our hosts. The house is minutes from the ocean. We enjoyed walking on the promenade.

Excellent host and staff which makes one feel totally comfortable and at home. Close and easy access to public transport. We would not hesitate to recommend this accomodation to our friends.

Having now experienced this wonderful place our only regret is that our stay was too short.

The owner welcomed us with a glass of Port Wine and we were told to enjoy one each night of our stay. Our room was extremely comfortable and clean. Especially nice was the comforter on the bed, covered by a clean white duvet each night. The bathroom shower was fabulous and the plush towels just what was needed after a hot shower. Breakfast was wonderful each day: fresh coffee/tea, home made cake, wonderful fresh rolls and breads, three types of home made jams, cheese, meat, fresh fruit bowl and juice. This B&B used to be the personal home of the owner and there are family pictures on the walls as well as personal carpets and furniture. It is a welcoming warm environment for travelers.

Casa Shanti Niketan was a fantastic experience. We arrived later than we said we would (about 20:00) but we were really surprised by the warm welcome we received. We also received very tip for going around nearby places which was great cause we were not sure where to start. It is only 20-30 mins away from Lisbon by train. The train station is only 5 minutes walking distance. It is suitable for both young and mature equally. The internet and TV channels (for English speaking customers) were also fantastic, lots of channels to choose from. Fantastic final stop for our holiday trip !

Me and my dashing girlfriend had a lovely sojourn here. The staff are amazing, upon are arrival I felt like I was leaving 2 long lost aunts, I wanted to hug them they were so friendly (not in a creepy way). The room was lovely and it is close to Estoril beach and very close to Mt Estoril station. Cascais is 25 minute stroll along the sea side. We had a lovely time and would recommend it to anyone. This is also my first review as I find these things slightly ridiculous, but we enjoyed it so much I decided to lose my virginity (in the writing a review on booking.com sense.

We loved everything about and in Casa Shanti Niketan and we want warmly recommend this beautiful and very peaceful place.

Ideal location with easy access by train to Lisbon and 5 minute walk to beach. Beaches lovely and clean and no loud music with notable presence of policia making you feel very safe. Sofia, Bettina and Fatima are very pleasant and helpful. The place is spotless. The towels didn't get changed but maybe because we didn't leave them on floor. Would go back.

The road is quite busy and can be loud.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was always friendly and the owner Sofia gave us a lot of advices and tips. The house is close to the beach and also to the train station and bus stop. There are a lot of possibilities for things to do in the area, you can go by train to Lisbon or take the bus to Sintra. Monte Estoril itself isn't that special, but there are some nice restaurants in the area and if you want to see more you can go to the nearby village of Cascais or to Estoril. We stayed here for more than two weeks and had a lot of fun!

We stayed in Casa Shanti Niketan for 6 days, it's a nice small hotel, ideal if you like feeling more at home instead of the often impersonal feeling of a large hotel with 300 rooms e.g. The staff is very friendly, and are very helpful. Breakfast is small, but was enough for us;sometimes they serve fresh oranje juice which was very good! Rooms are clean, nice new bathrooms. It's about 5-10 minutes walk to the beach, and also to the station 'Monte Estoril'. Cascais is about 10-15 min walk, where there are a lot of restaurants and bars.

The only thing I missed, was a swimming pool. But the beach is not too far..

We spent one week at Casa Shanti for holidays. The location of the b&b is excellent: 5 minutes walking from the sea and the railway station, which is directly connected to Lisbon (30 min trip). This makes Casa Shanti an ideal accommodation for who is interested to visit Lisbon and at the same time wants to take same days on the beach of Cascais/Estoril (which are really awesome!). The b&b is very clean and well kept and it is also interesting for the peculiar indian style it holds.The personnel is extremely friendly and really helped us a lot when we were in need. In the end we almost felt like at home. Highly recommended!

We liked everything about the place.The owner and staff were so helpful and efficient .... nothing was too much trouble for them. The bathrooms were new and the showers were extremely efficient and powerful. The continental breakfasts were a pleasure ... home baked bread and cakes ... as much tea and coffee as you liked. Refreshments in the afternoon at no extra cost. A real home from home.

Die Besitzerin des B&B und das restliche Personal ist super nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich wie zuhause. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbüffet. Nur 5 min zu Fuß von der Strandpromenade und dem Bahnhof Monte Estorli entfernt. Bushaltestelle nach Sintra fast direkt vor der Tür (Fahrt ca. 30 min).

великолепный отель! точнее это не отель, это гостевой дом. здесь всего 7 номеров. дом не большой, но номера очень просторные, с балконами. у нас было даже 2 балкона. в номерах антикварная мебель!!! гостинная обставлена в старинном стиле, много старинных вещей. очень радушная и приветливая хозяйка дома, софия. персонал в гостинице есть, но мы его почти не видели. убирают бесшумно, ходят незаметно. качество отеля на самом высоком уровне. мы даже отменили ранее запланированный переезд в другой отель побережья и решили остаться в этом. до пляжа 3 минуты, до прибрежных кафешек - тоже, до шоппинг центра в кашкайше - минут 10.

наверное в любом месте есть к чему придраться, но здесь даже если и есть какие-то огрехи, то их не замечаешь. лично для меня было толкьо одно маленькое "неудобство". в номерах душевые кабины, а я предпочитаю полноценную ванную. но это такая мелочь, что пишу только чтобы заполнить это поле.

Calme de la chambre à cette période. Parking dans la cour de l'hôtel. Accueil du personnel avec explications. Petit déjeuner simple mais bon. Chambre (no 7) très spacieuse, bonne literie. Gare pour Lisbonne à 5 minutes à pieds. Porto offert tous les soirs....

Bem familiar, o hotel é a casa da dona que o dirige. A gente sente-se em casa criando uma atmosfera ótima. Os quartos são ótimos com todos os confortos, o café da manhã são excelentes e servem geléias feitas por eles mesmos! Uma delícia! Vale a pena.
