The door of the bathroom couldn't close well, though for us it wasn't a big problem.
The personal assistance was amazing and the place is really well located.
Everything! Just remember to call the owner in advance to comunicate the time of arrival.
I now travel without a hair dryer because many places supply. With this suggestion, I'll bet he'll get one. OR maybe I didn't locate it.
Owner's suggestions for bakery, eating, and fado were excellent. If Booking asks in another email, could supply directions that would help new people get right to the meeting address. Not meant to be much of a kitchen for real meal prep, so did not rate "Kitchen facilities"
Incredibly noisy, wifi not working, shower broken, insect in the kitchen, staff totally inefficient ...
Great location, close to town, excellent very tight space, Miguel - the owner was most helpful - Thank you, Miguel! Great place for backpackers and people with little suitcases. We will be back to Coimbra Residence!
Difficult to find the owner on arrival. Ditto the property and where to park our car closeby. Two flights of stairs with heavy suitcases with which the owner ably asssisted
Excellent location for visiting all the highlights of Coimbra (historic, eating out, shopping etc.) After staying elsewhere in small hotels, this self catering apartment was a welcomed change with the fridge and washing machine as the most useful luxuries! We struck lucky the last night when the marching bands paraded through the narrow streets making this a memorable stay. Most helpful owner who went out of his way to assist with best car parking, carrying suitcases and advising how to make the most of our short stay
Room could do with some cosy pictures or flowers!
Personalised service, excellent location and cleanliness
Miguel our host went out of his way to help us and provided us with all the information we needed to enjoy our stay in Coimbra.
It is not a hotel, it is an apartment in an old building that has been renovated for tourists or students. Bathroom door couldn't be closed, the floor was really creaky. We couldn't sleep at all because of the noise from the street underneath. The address is not exactly the one cited but round the corner inside a dodgy alley. Really difficult to park nearby.
Very central position in Coimbra
The apartment was small but suited for its purpose which was primarily as a student residence. It was, however, great for our 2 night stay.
The location was very central - short walk to secure parking, historic sites, supermarket and restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful and the washing machine was great!
could need some renovation. 9 is overrated! too expensive in comparison to much nicer apartments we rented in porto or lisboa!
well, i think that a 9 is overrated. we stayed at nicer places during our trip to portugal that were better equipped, less expensive and in better shape. we stayed in the place on the upper floor. the other apartments were rented to students or teachers and seemed to be rented for a longer period of time. the place we rented could use some renovation. it is clean but with quite an old carpet. it is clean tough and definitly a place you can recommend. we just had better places and i would give ot a solid 7.8 or 8. the hosts were very helpful. the location is close to all major sights. parking on the other side of the river is free!
