Convento Da ProvençaMonte Paleiros, Ribeira De Nisa, 7300-431 Portalegre (Εμφάνιση χάρτη) Surrounded by the lush forests of the São Mamede Mountains in Portalegre, this former convent is decorated with historic armour, weapons and antiques. The surrounding garden features an outdoor pool. With free Wi-Fi and terracotta floors, all rooms and suites at Convento Da Provença come equipped with a satellite TV and minibar. Each bathroom is stocked with a hairdryer and amenities. A breakfast buffet is served daily on Da Provença’s terrace, which overlooks the rural surroundings of the nortern Alentejano region. A local dinner menu is available in the evening. Guests can relax in the shade of an umbrella by the garden’s pool. When weather is chilly, the convent’s lounge offers a cosy setting to read a book by the fireplace. Great place, wonderful hotel and rooms, with a very nice team , and the decoration as well as the collection is something real special. Sorry we could not stay there for longer Take in account there is no elevator to climb to second floor-many stairs but still it is a place to stay. Nothing to mention

Located in a very peaceful place. Perfect if you want to relax by the pool surrounded by nature from every side. Stunning acomodations, so charming and full of history. The hotel staff is very courteous and extremely helpful. I can consider this one of the best hotels I've ever been.

We were on a 2 week cycling trip that we booked entirely through booking.com, and this was by far our favorite place. The staff were very kind and helpful, the rooms were simple yet very peaceful and the hotel grounds were wonderful. At night we opened our windows and the sounds of rural Portugal were delightful.

Very comfortable and spacious and decorated impeccably with antiques, suits of armour etc. Super swimming pool, large communal sitting room, games room etc.An excellent and resonably priced dinner was provided upon request, the menu being discussed with the chef in the morning.

A special place in a special environment. We loved to sit in front of the chimney and our little one loved to play with all the toys from the kids room. We will certainly come back.

Excellent reception and well converted building. Good facilities. Sometimes it would be nice to have breakfast before 9am. There was a small samll of stale smoke in the room, not allowed now but from the past.

A small hotel and unfortunately were unable to provide an evening meal. However, they recommended a superb restaurant some 20 minutes drive from the hotel.

Beautiful and peaceful convent. Big rooms! The pool was really nice, the decoration of the convent was cozy. Had a room with ping-pong and games and a room with children toys. D. Fatima can make you lunch or dinner if you want to, and it's really good homemade food, our daughter had lunch everyday and it was a plus in our stay! The water is also really good!!!! We had the pleasure of talking to the owners and they were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple, but good, the funniest part was you did your own orange juice.... the best juice ever!! Good location, 5km from Portalegre and it's near Marvão... beautiful village in the top of the hill. 'The only place in Portugal where you can see an eagle from his back'... taught me the mother of the owner! :) Just think the breakfast could have some regional products, for example, cheese and 'chouriços' from Alentejo. And maybe some traditional cakes too.

Very nice place. Away from main road, but close to travel around Portalegre, Castelo de Vide e Marvão. Room and breakfast outstanding! No problem to park.

We had a very pleasant stay. A personal hotell with a nice pool. Good location for trips to Marvao and Castelo de Vide, and quite close to Portalegre with good restaurants (we recommend TombaLobos). We also loved the house-lady Fatima, whom with her happy greetings made us feel especially welcome. We would love to come back.

We've felt absolutely at home at the hotel. The location is just stunning and breakfast is also good. Bed was king size and really comfy and the bathroom nice and clean.

Hotel bastante sossegado, calmo, com um atendimento ao melhor nível. Horário de entrada. No meu caso, tive de entrar antes das 01h00, pois não existe chave para poder entrar quando quiser.
