Convento do Espinheiro – A Luxury Collection Hotel & SPA.  

Absolute excellence & historical context. Good inland location. Superb staff.

Very atmospheric, sensitively lit, lovely gardens. 2 pools - indoor (garden view) and outdoor - photos don't do pool and gardens justice. Ok ish gym but has garden view. Good breakfast. Some very good professional staff (and unfortunately a couple of stand offish types too). Chapel adds to the 'specialness' of the place -great to have that as part of the hotel. The hotel building itself is exceptional.a bit far from town -yes there is a car service but if you wanted to go out in morning and for dinner - that's 4 times and you get the sense that you're pushing it a bit - otherwise it's 8 euros a trip.

Smelly blocked ?? drains (which permeated into room - which I suspect may be a regular problem - be suspicious of the rooms with pot pouri!!!) - this did clear completely (took 2 days). Despite lovely public areas (cloisters and dinning room) could be made more welcoming with (fresh) flowers and candles (and more attentive service) -perhaps that's why not many eating and drinking at hotel - which means that they rely on weddings and conferences (and groups) which detract from the intimate sensitive and beautiful surroundings. Food was a bit hit and miss.,, And find some appropriate muzak - if needs must - but not Madonna!

The Convento do Espinheiro was one of the best, if not the best, hotel I have ever had the pleasure to stay in! The friendly staff, the beautiful (a nat'l landmark!) facilities, and the luxury accommodations at a great price! We awoke to watch the sun rise outside our terraced room, with a beautifully kept grounds and total privacy!

Everything was perfect! I can't wait to return!

As a former convent the hotel setting is unique and wonderful. The pool area is also beautiful. Indoor pool facility equally attractive. Reception staff and bell boys very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast in general below expectation, an italian coffee machine would be upgrade for breakfast and pool area.Decoration and furniture was 'anonymous large hotel chain style' in a true unique setting. More individual style would be comensurate.

De um modo geral a estadia lá foi satisfatória, pois o quarto era bastante confortável o o Convento muito bonito. Atenciosamente, Fernanda.

Todavia, por ser um spa, eu pretendia fazer alguns serviços dessa natureza, mas aparentemente o número de profissionais atuando no spa é pequeno, pois nem eu nem o meu namorado conseguimos agendar nenhum serviço no spa por falta de agenda disponível. Ora se esse é um dos diferenciais do lugar, deveria ter maior disponibilidade. Acrescento, ainda, o fato de ter achado a temperatura da piscina coberta e "aquecida" muito baixa. A junção entre o antigo e o moderno, muito bom. Qualidade do quarto, boa sonorização.Funcionários muito atenciosos. A temperatura da água da piscina interior estava um pouco baixa, se estivesse mais quente poderia disfrutar melhor o espaço, que tem uma vista espectacular.

Conforto do quarto e ambiente geral do hotel. Preocupação com o bem estar dos clientes - os funcionários do hotel são extraordinários na atenção e disponibiidade para responder a qualquer solicitação.

O preço dos vinhos no restaurante é inaceitável.

Em geral estava tudo óptimo. De realçar a simpatia dos empregados.

O pequeno-almoço estava confuso, pois tinha muita gente e apenas um local de buffet.

Adorei tudo, foi um fim de semana maravilhoso. Gostei do espaço relaxante da piscina interior, do jacuzzi e do banho turco. O conforto do quarto, foi sem dúvida a cama de hotel mais confortável onde alguma vez dormi. Gostei do pormenor da fruta disponível no quarto, da variedade de bebidas e aperitivos do mini bar.O Hotel tem vários espaços e salas com sofás onde é possível ler, conversar ou tomar uma bebida. Adorei o jantar, o restaurante gourmet localizado na antiga adega dos frades Jerónimos, disponibiliza refeições diferentes e combinações de sabores muito agradáveis. O pequeno almoço é variado e de qualidade. é sem dúvida um local de sossego, tranquilidade e relaxamento. Muito Bom.

Excelente atendimento, estrutura inusitada e muito acolhedor. Realmente um dos melhores da Europa.
