Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, close to very good beach and reasonably close to town centre. An improvement at breakfast would be either 2 coffee/tea machines or a seperate hot water facility for tea. This is because there was always a queue at peak ntimes.

Proximity to amazing beaches the definite highlight. The pools available are great, but the sea is incredulous-only a short walk to several great spots. Not far into town either which was grand. Buffet breakfast was sensational (except for the coffee) they have champagne included everyday! Hells yeahs! Kitchen not well stocked. Did not have a light to start stove, would have been good to have a few things like salt and pepper etc. There was a coffee maker but no filter bags - so you have to buy all these to use kitchen properly. We left ours there - lucky for whoever is in after us! Bed is two singles pushed together - slightly unromantic...also ask for a second story room - get more afternoon sun!

From the time we arrived until the time we left we found the hotel to be comfortable and the staff eager to fill our every need . The restaurant food and service was excellent and our room cozy and comfortable. The hotel is a collection of villas and we were lucky to have our room close to the restaurant. It is an easy walk to the beach and to explore the coastline. It takes a 10-15 minute walk to get to town. We were there in the winter so found many places closed, but it was only a short drive to Portimao where we found everything we needed.

Excellent ambience surrounding the whole complex. Most unusual format in having accomodation separate from the main hotel, but this added to its privacy and exclusivity, not least of all having its own pool !Excellent breakfast and friendly bar. Excellent value for money and will definitely stay their again when on another golfing holiday.

Nice spacious room and bathroom. Had an own terrace looking at the pool. Great choice at breakfast. Quiet hotel, close to beautiful beaches. We liked it a lot. Just a bit far from the city centre by walking, but it's compensated by the easy approach to the beach.

Only redeeming factor was good breakfast. This is the only bad choice hotel from booking.com in 4 years use! This is not a 4 star hotel. Terrible value for money. The room had a stale musty sickening smell. The room had iron bars on the windows. The neighbourhood was run down with direlect high rise flats and we never felt secure. Mosquitos hopping off the pillows! Lizards in the hall! Stray Dogs barking throughout the night. Thin walls. Tired dated decor. Small shabby swimming pool.

A nice place for a quiet holiday, with effective staff, maintaining a very clean hotel. Quite close to a couple of small beaches (Ponta de piedada, Praia de Ana). There is a clear need for your own transport when staying at this hotel (for sightseeing, Lagos town for shopping & food, and main beach areas). Note high tide at Lagos removes most of the small beach areas. Given the location, it would be good to offer a shuttle service, or recommend private hire upfront. Wifi is a little unreliable - needs someone to take at the wi-fi set-up :)

The hotel is very comfortable and couzy. The bed was big and everything was spearkless. The bathroom was clean and the towels were changed every day. The kitchen was fully equiped and cleaned every morning. The staff was outgoing and helpfull. They all knew English. The breakfast was rich and diverse, including even the champange. For the courious ones there was a big table with a national Portuguese dish, such as sossages, chees, drinks and cookies. It is about 7 min walk to the most beautiful beach in Lagos - Dona Ana Beach. It is 25 min walk to the center. The pool was cold and not too big. The floor in the rooms and bathroom was just painted concreat.Overall the price seems to be higher than it should be.

The location is fantastic, very near to some of the most beautiful beaches in Algarve, and Lagos is a very nice village. The structure is also very nice and in a quiet location only a bit far away from city centre. The rooms/apartments are well equipped. Breakfast is excellent and the pools are small but never crowded.

The rooms of the hotel were great especially the ones right in front of the pools, I mean if you wanted to go for a swim the pool was less then 1 min from the room. The breakfast was also absolutely fantastic the best we ever had in a hotel. The cleaning was very very good and the inside of the rooms was very spacious and the kitchen had what we needed. We went to the nearest beach everyday on foot and it took us less then 5min. D. Ana is for sure one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal. To get to the center of Lagos we took the car (had a parking space right in front of our house) but I guess you can easily get there without one. There is a supermarket 5min away. We liked the atmosphere in the city and the tranquility around the house. The staff was great to, always ready to help if we needed something.´ If we go back in Lagos we will definitely stay here again That the pool next to our house didn't have a stair at both ends to get out more easily.

5-10 minutes' walk away from Praia da Dona Ana and a second, even lovelier beach; and 20-25 minutes' walk away from a spectacular long one - Praia de Porto de Mos. Lovely, helpful, responsive staff. Leisurely breakfasts by the pool, served until 11 a.m. We were in the main hotel in a two-room apartment which meant that we could open windows in both and get a through draught, and didn't need to use the a/c. An overhanging balcony from the room above kept the sunlight out of our room - normally something I wouldn't like but great in August as it helped keep the place cool. Comfortable beds, clean linen - lovely. Be aware that the hotel is not all one one site - on arrival we were taken by minibus to a building about half a kilometer away. The room there was sleek, modern and recently decorated but the shared pool was tiny and we didn't fancy a hot dusty walk to and from the main hotel for breakfast every morning, and were soon given one we preferred by the very helpful staff. We booked on-line but if going again would call first to ensure this didn't happen. Hotel is 1.5 km from the old town - so a little bit of a walk, with some hills - and on the other side of the river from the main town beach, though we much preferred our local ones anyway.

There was nothing that we like about the hotel. Our booking was confirmed 5 weeks before our arrival just to be told at Reception that the hotel was fully booked and they did not have the 1 bedroom apartment available that we booked for. We were told that we (me, my husband and our 22 year old son) had to sleep in a studio apartment for 1 night before a 1 bedroom apartment will be made available on the following day. In addition, the studio and the 1 bedroom apartments were not in the main hotel but located a few streets away in what appeared to be a single story bunglalow house which was converted into a studio and 1 bedroom apartments with a tiny swimming pool about the size of children's pools (approx 10 meters x 5 meters) in most hotels in Malaysia. In the studio apartment, they squeezed 3 single beds together in a open room with the kitchenette. The house was in a cul-de- sac without a name and nor the name of the hotel other than the logo at the small gate which anybody can open anytime. Every morning we had to walk up the streets in the heat to get to the Coffee shop for breakfasts which were included with the room rates. For the price we paid, I felt we were cheated with the kind of accommodation that we got on this hotel. When I booked for this hotel, I imagine a kind or a resort place similar to what we have in the Far East countries. The hotel advertisement is misleading.
