To less chairs at the pool .
This hotel is very clean. We were on the 11th floor with a nice view. The pool is very big and the oversized bean cushions on the pool deck are extremely comfortable. Walking distance to the marina and restaurants.
The booking the chairs
The staff from front of house to back where so friendly and helpful always so cheerful
I wonder why a hotel of this standard allows clients to take control of sun beds and the bean bags early in the morning and not use them for hours later this was the only complaint
We had a junior suite which was very comfortable and spacious, also had an excellent view from the balcony. Enjoyed using the the air condition gym and other facilities
Didnt like having to get up at 07-00 to secure a poolside sunbed. Only one balcony chair for two people!!
location , great bars near by , satff briiliant , food very good great choice at breakfast
not enough sun beds but nothing that a few more wouldnt put right
On the beach Facilities excellent. Clean Lovely big main pool and poolside bar. Smaller toddler pool fenced of so safe with a pirate ship play area. Good garden area with big bean bags Good rooms with comfy beds Location is 10 mins easy walk into the marina and restaurant area of Vilamoura. Nice breakfast
Big issue with sunbeds round the main pool. Not enough !!! and bed hoggers !!!!!! Never got a sunbed near the pool all the time we were there. If watching children in the pool you cant see them from the garden bean bag area so without a sunbed or somewhere to sit it on it wasnt easy unless you wanted to be in the pool the whole time. This was very disappointing and we were not the only ones complaining. We heard lots of others going to the pool attendants about the sunbed situation. I dont expect to have to fight for sunbeds in a five star resort and not get one if you dont put your towel down at the crack of dawn. On the garden area you could usually get a bean bag but some selfish people piled 4 on top of each other. Very disappointing.
Location, staff, breakfast
The rooms are gorgeous and very, very comfortable. Staff could not do enough, great food and grounds with "Fat Boy" loungers and poolside were all great. Loved it.
Wifi was a tiny bit slow at times, but usually tried to access it from the edge of the property under a sun umbrella, so really not an issue!
Perfect location .. Gorgeous hotel .. Bright & airy.. Beautifully decorated.. We booked a junior suite on the 5th floor. It had a gorgeous view of the pool & the beach! Huge variety @ breakfast and eating area & pool area spotless in every way! A 10 min stroll to the marina .. Gorgeous views and so relaxing! Our top 3 eating places on the Marina were The Mayflower for dinner (steak & fish dishes unreal) and o Neills pub (we had lunch here) and also o Shea's for lunch.. Karaoke bar "The 19th Hole" good laugh at night and also o Neills have brilliant live bands some nights.. Everyone we met spoke some level of English so we didn't struggle at all.. We rented bikes to cycle around the marina and the hotel staff were kind enough to store them overnight for us to use again the morning after! They were very helpful!
The 2 little things we didn't like was the fact that all the sun beds around the pool were gone really early in the morning so we had no alternative but to use the bean bags on the grass to lie on! Comfy yes but a nuisance to go to and from the pool.. Most couples or families would put a towel down at 7:30am and be gone for 90% of the day leaving them vacant! Very very annoying! The second thing is that Altho we had free wi-fi we had to keep logging into it coz it was losing connection constantly!
- The pool is absolutely huge and fantastic. The areas surrounding it are equally large and very comfortable, especially the large cushions in the grass area. - The hotel is located just next to the beach, requiring little more than a few steps to get there. - The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating to requests. - The TV in the room is really good with great reception and a good choice of channels. - The beds are insanely comfortable and quite large. - The fridge in the room was quite big and completely empty - free for the guest to use (rather than filling it with a minibar that you won't touch). This was a really big plus for us as we never eat from the minibar but for guests that do, it can be stocked up with a number of packages available. - The Wi-Fi signal was very good throughout the hotel, though a little weak in the balcony. Internet access was at times a tad slow but excellent for all my uses on holiday. - On days that cleaners were unable to clean our room (due to us having the Do Not Disturb sign out), they left a card that offered to clean the room at a later time if we phoned reception. This is really good! - Prices for drinks at dinner were reasonable, with 1L bottles of water costing €3.50. The Pool Bar was a little expensive though, charging €3 for a Magnum ice cream.
- A little bit more variety on the breakfast would be great. The bacon available was always streaky bacon with lots of fat - better to have proper rashers of bacon. - My wife loved trying all the great food at dinner during the week but as a fussy eater who doesn't like seafood at all, some days it was hard for me to eat protein at dinner. - Some days there were incredible desserts available but other days, there were no chocolate-based desserts at dinner. Chocolate is life. Must have chocolate.
The facilities have a high quality. Swimingpool, spa, rooms fullfill your requirements.
The food quality was quite poor and we got tired after the third day since the range was as well quite short. Always the same.
the rooms were very comfortable, clean and spacious and soundproof rooms. The breakfast menu had everything you could wish for! Close to the marina and right on the beach. Loved it!
the beds around the pool were always reserved with peoples towels but they weren't using them so hard to sit near the pool.
Location of hotel was just right ,staff where also helpfull
Could not get a sun lounger as most guests had taken four at a time (Mostly guests from the UK and not the Germans) WI Fi was good on my first visit on teh 10th floor however on my second visit i was on the forth floor and it was very slow No smoked fish at breakfast
Rooms were modern and bright with good views. Breakfasts had good variety, but could do with healthier options. Nice friendly staff. Nice 90m long pool.
Room service charges were high Hotel beanbags were not a good substitute for proper sun beds The scramble to the poolside before 8am to get a proper sun bed.
The location and clensines. The reception staff were excellent Lovely hotel and luxurious junior sweet.
The waiters and waitresses were miserable and not at Attentive
Exclellent breakfast, but you need to wait to be seated when hotel is full.Staff at breakfast very effecient.
if you want to relax without the noise of children running around the hotel premises, then definitely this is not a hotel for you.
breakfast and location
the openess and space for children every little restrictions good holiday experience
This is my second year staying at The Crown Plaza and i think it is a beautiful hotel convenient to the beach and the lovely marina. The facilities are second to none, the staff are very professional and friendly and the hotel is spotless.I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely facility. See you again next year.
The rooms were lovely.
No tea in bedroom. Breakfast had nice food but not very well organized. Lots of staff running around but maybe they should be allocated an area to concentrate on.
The gang of guys on a stag trip who was always at the pool bar end and very noisy and was left to continue there chants for all to hear, this made tour sunbathing uncomfortable whilst they was there so we was forced to move on. Not really what you would expect from this type of hotel.
Hi rise property with ocean views, excellent buffet breakfast and dinner.
