This 5-star Suite Hotel, with 105 Deluxe Rooms (Double rooms, Suites and Family Suites), is near the São Rafael beach, west of Albufeira. It offers deluxe fittings, modern furnishings, panoramic elevators, restaurants, bar, meeting rooms, the Relax Center with cosmetic and massage treatments, heated indoor pool, saunas, jacuzzi, steam baths, 3 outdoor pools, tennis court, Kid's Club (for children 3 - 11 years), multi-purpose grass pitch, 18-hole putting green, 18-hole golf course at only 5 min. from the hotel, São Rafael beach concession (500m from the hotel) with a seasonal shuttle service, restaurant and bar with a terrace and free sunbathing facilities for hotel guest (with sun beds, sunshades and a towel service).

This new five stars Suite Hotel allies an excellent location to one of the most attractive and generous natural surrounding in the Algarve - the São Rafael beach, in Albufeira. In fact, together with the excellent natural conditions, easily noticed in the clear sea water and in the quiet and cosy golden beach, to which the cliff gives shelter, the São Rafael beach benefits from an excellent location.
Elegance and Quality are two characteristics that are definitely present in this new Suite Hotel. In addition to its ocean view and prior mentioned facilities, it offers vast Mediterranean gardens, restaurants, bars, and terraces. Conference rooms, Internet space, indoor patio, Wellness Spa, Gymnasium, sporting grounds, tobacco shop, Golf and Spa packages, ongoing entertainment programs, São Rafael Beach concession (long deckchairs, umbrellas and towel service) and a São Rafael Beach Restaurant. The Suites offer functional spaces with natural light, spacious balconies; air- conditioning, Satellite TV, kitchenette, and they are all soundproof.

Food & beverage

This unit features an elegant buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant, a pool snack bar and lobby bar. The São Rafael beach club has an elegant and relaxed restaurant and snack bar. All of these places offer, in addition to the premium food and excellent service, a marvellous view to the gardens and sea. Low-calorie menus are available on request. Vegetarian cuisine is available, as are special children's chairs and menus.

Room information

There are 19 deluxe double rooms, 63 deluxe suites and 23 deluxe family suites. All rooms boast functional spaces with natural light, balconies with ocean, garden or land view, air-conditioning, LCD TV with satellite channels, direct dial telephone, complete bathroom with hairdryers, mini-bar and support kitchenette (cooking is not possible but microwave is available on request) and rigorous soundproofing treatment. All units have individual safe deposit boxes free of charge. In addition, the deluxe double rooms have a double bed and a dining room table for two people. Both types of suites have additionally to the general facilities one or two bedrooms with twin beds, living room with sofa-bed, a dinner table for four or six people. The deluxe suites also have a spare bathroom with shower stall, while the family suites have an additional complete bathroom.

Baby cots are available on request and will count as one person in the room and not in addition to the maximum occupancy.
24-hour room service
Pets are not allowed.
There is one deluxe double room and one deluxe suite for the disabled.

Area information

The CS São Rafael Suite Hotel benefits from an excellent location: 10 minutes away from the highways A2 and A22, 30 minutes from Faro International Airport and in the vicinity of excellent leisure facilities such as the Albufeira Marina, Herdade dos Salgados Golf Course, Thematic and Water Parks, Algarve Shopping (at Guia), Vilamoura’s Casino, Fishing Clubs and Hippodrome. It’s only 5 minutes from the cosmopolitan city of Albufeira, famous for its day and night life, with lot of restaurants and bars where one can discover and taste the Algarve’s gastronomic delights.

The CS hotel is all the luxury you'd expect from a 5*hotel when on holiday. The rooms are spacious, light and very comfy, so even if it's raining the room is not clausterphobic, you can easily spend a few hours inside. The spa is fab, all hotel staff are excellent and for 5* it's not a 'formal' hotel and very child friendly (i.e. younger kids - 6 and under). Car definitely recommeneded.

Service, quality of fittings

No heated outside pool. The outside temperature was about 20C for the whole weeek and consequently the children were very dissappointed. Also the hotel and your site mentions "wireless internet throughout hotel" when in fact it doesn't work in many parts of the hotel - the staff know this. This was a problem for me as I needed to work during the stay.

A very modern hotel, quality fixtures and fittings, spacious public rooms. Our room (deluxe suite) was extremely spacious and comfortable. Complimentary safe in room. Kitchenette with kettle provided.

No child-proof breakfast room, as in some 5 star hotels! No buffet dinner.

Tranquilidade, amplas áreas de piscina e de qualidade.

O hotel disponibiliza espreguiçadeiras na praia, mas a um custo bastante elevado (mesmo para os hóspedes!!!!) e não permite a ocupação por meio dia a um custo mais baixo.

Do espaço e da amabilidade e eficiência dos funcionários

A não permanencia de crianças na piscina do spa; iluminação em algumas áreas dos corredores, nomeadamente em zonas de escadas, facilita a circulação e a torna-a menos perigosa; a existência de pequena loja onde possa ser adquirido o jornal diário; aumento de numero de funcionárias de limpeza para tornar o serviço mais rápido

As condições e tamanho do quarto

O acesso ao relax center (SPA) deveria ser limitado a crianças, pois devido ao barulho que naturalmente fazem conseguem estragar um momento de relaxamento. Por outros lado as pessoas da recepção deveriam estar capacitadas para dar sugestões de locais de visita, em especial restaurante na zona, que nao o do proprio hotel.
