Location, staff, breakfast, wifi
The room was old with a lingering smell. The carpet was very dirty. The bathroom could use an uplift as the grouting in the shower were moldy and peeling off. The bed was small for 2 people and very uncomfortable. The walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbor. Other neighboring guests had no consideration talking in loud voices at 3-4 am in the small shared hallway. The breakfast selection could use improvement.
This modern hotel is a handy 10 minute/7 euro taxi ride from the airport. The staff were welcoming and efficient. Our room was clean, well-equipped and comfortable, on the 6th floor with a fabulous view from the balcony. Very economical, at least for a low season stay. The neighbourhood is pleasant and safe, with a number of cafes, minimarkets, etc. Don't miss heading over the hill after dark to see the amazing floodlit fountains at the top end of the Jardim da Alameda DOH!
We had to leave at 7 a.m. for a flight and asked for an early breakfast. This amounted to a slice of processed cheese in unbuttered sliced white bread (not very fresh) and a yogurt. This seemed disappointing for a hotel that is apparently used frequently by early flyers.
Very clean, Comfortable bed, Very friendly staff, 5 mins walk to alameda metro station, Good value to money.
Room for 3 people was big, clean, with balcony, stuff very helpful, near Metro,...
Just missed some Tables and chairs on the Balcony, but maybe there are some in the sommer.
It has very narrow stairs and lifts. Very small breakfast room (I had to invite other guests to my table, because they were just standing too much time, waiting for a free table). Very small bath cabin (where you might accidentally turn the cold water completely down just by turning your body around - it happened to me several times). Almost all in this hotel lacks space. However, if you book in advance, you can get good fares here. Thus, I have stayed in this hotel several times, when I had meetings in Lisbon.
I have booked 4 nights for two, in a nonrefundable fare. My room mate couldn't come, so I have asked for free parking space instead. This was denied, even considering the fact that I was paying for water spent, extra toals, and breakfasts of someone who was not coming with me to Lisbon. Considering the fact I was a regular client, I felt mistreated and, so, this was my last stay in this hotel.
Nice hotel, nice stuff, nice price, normal breakfast but confortable, i like Lisboa and this nice hotel.
It was not expensive at all, but the quality is same as the hotel with 4stars! Staff was nice also. We'd asked to call the taxi to go to the train station and they arrived immediately. Everything's great.
Only the location...We used "alameda" station to get there but it was quite hard to arrive by feet...
Nice place. Good breakfast. Great wifi connection.
Reception very kind Bed is good
Noise, sometimes, Coffe at breakfast, But i have a good opinion in general about this hotel
Nothing... its great hotel
Clean... fast check in and check out. No hassle. Great value for money. Though it is a bit far from center. Well if you like it to be just in your doorstep... otherwise, very accessible. Metro station just few minutes walk from hotel. But all in all, great value for your money.
I don't advice it for elderly travellers though. They will find it hard. Uphill walk to the hotel from Alameda station. Room size is small but ok. But toilet bath is too small.... u almost can't move while showering. But clean and still great value for your money.
Staff helpful and polite Bedroom was good, beds comfortable Clean and tidy
The shower was so tiny I could touch both sides with my elbows, and turning around meant I hit the 'handle' type tap which turned the water temp up to not even max. but it was still almost enough to scald me! If it had been a child or more elderly person it could have been very dangerous. Breakfast was very mediocre to poor. The toaster .. didn't toast. Choices were poor and the coffee was by a type of vending machine and seriously in all my 60 yrs was the most foul I have ever tasted! Overall, the stay was ok, but I wouldn't recommend this place as it is, with poor food and what we found to be showers that are way too small ( I am only 5ft/1.5m) and potentially dangerous. Reaching the breakfast area was also difficult as a person who had walking difficulties. There was a lift, and then you had to take a second but that one was broken down which meant I had to climb a long flight of stairs ...
I stayed in this hotel at the beginning of October, and I liked it A LOT.) Hotel's location is just perfect: neighbouring area is safe and quiet, metro station is nearby down the hill. It takes app. 15 minutes to get to both the airport and the city centre using underground. The hotel (including public areas, my room, bedsheets, and towels) were VERY clean. Breakfast was nice, but mostly oriented to those with sweet tooth, since mainly included a huge selection of pastry, sweet corn flakes, etc. There were only few hot and/or non-sweet dishes available. View from the balcony of the breakfast spot was FANTASTIC and will definitely make me return to this place again.
The only hotel’s downside was the fact that it was a bit too noisy. I could hear people talking, or taking shower etc. in the rooms next to mine. The elevator next to my room was another thing that interfered with my sleep at nights. It was bearable, and my earplugs helped significantly. Still if you cannot tolerate any sound at night, I’d recommend looking for other places to stay.
A very good hotell, with a great value for money, situated near a metro, with a very helpful staff, nice clean rooms and a great breakfastroom with tables inside or outside.
It was really great hotel, with sweet rooms and tasty breakfast. Clean and I recommend everyone :)) enjoy :))
Location, reasonable cost, good breakfast in great 7th floor view point
More shelving space required in room esp toilet....minor criticism
It was good to be greeted with a smile and nice" to see you again " with all the paperwork done even if the guy had never seen us before. A number of visits now and it is consistent so will be going again
Going into the dining room as an early arrival for breakfast the door was closed with no warning of the step down, which upon opening caused a fall for my wife. Not an elegant entrance and fortunately no damage but needs looking at.
Great staff,very friendly hotel!
Me and my husband enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The service at the reception was one of the best we have ever had. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was great - it had everything you would wish for breakfast. The hotel is located 5 minute walk from the metro station which enables you to get to any part of the city quickly. There is a nice park a few minutes away from the hotel with a beautiful fountain. It also takes around 7 minutes to get to the airport by car. The design of the hotel overall and the room in particular was awesome: I personally liked every bit of it. Great value for money.
Very friendly and helpful staff, warm welcome, comfortable room, air conditioning, great views from the balcony, excellent breakfast on 7th floor terrace, good value for money, close to the Metro and slightly away from the chaos of the centre of the city
The carpet in room 505 was badly marked which was a pity as otherwise the room and hotel in general were very clean.
The staff were friendly, airconditioned room, very spacious, Felt safe and well looked after, not too far from supermarket.
Not much variety in breakfast
Helpful staff Parking on site (for a fee of 8 euro a day) Clean rooms with adequate facilities
Nothing to grumble about
-Very friendly staff
