Really convenient place to stay and a very nice atmosphere in the hotel, including very helpful staff, who could speak English quite well. The only reason I may not come back in a few years, is that for older people, it may be difficult to walk up the hill from the riverside. |

clean and quiet, beds okay. central location, only minutes away from ribiera. little bit run down, but okay. for that a little pricey, €100 for a double. |

The trip advisor site gave several references to a 'poor' breakfast i.e just a bread roll and coffee, this was absolutely not the case - choice of bread / pastries, coffee, tea, juices yoghurt, ham, cheeses, - very good! A general comment that tea making facilities in the room are welcome for most UK guests (we drink a lot of tea) - none here as with a lot of hotels. No hairdryer or iron in room, but probably available on request. Very steep hill - a challenge for older / infirm guests, Oporto is a very hilly town. |

superb location; we could walk to everything; the staff is wonderful, helpful and fluent in at least English and French, too. They let us use the desk computer for free for "quick use" such as checking emails. they went out of their way to be helpful, and were superior. it was a bit older, and the room wasn't carpeted; the breakfast was included but only ok |

Great location. Right in the city centre less than 5 mins walk from river. Staff spoke English and were helpful. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable enough. Breakfast well stocked with standard cold buffet. Room was a bit dismal with tinted windows. No nets on windows giving little privacy from neighbors across the road. A bit of noise from the street outside as no double glazing. |
