Score from 1325 reviews Very good
Excellent location. Room was pretty quiet. Good value for money.
Breakfast could have used more variety. Room a bit dirty on the first day.
Very good location in the heart of Ribeira, 5 min walk close to everything that matters
When we arrived they gave us a twin room instead of a double but changed it without any comment. But the double bed was small and uncomfortable. Sleep quality is bad, lot of noise from the street at night. They started to clean the next room at 8 in the morning with very noisy aspirator. Noisy guests all the time.
Very well located, we appeciated the 6th floor for the awsome view on the city.
May be the many seagulls at dawn on the roofs around...
The main factor is the position. You can reach every place of interest on foot. The staff were very kind and gave us every info that we needed.
Unfortunately we had two single beds instead of a double bed, but no matter. Wi-fi was too weak in our room.
The location was great and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is a shortish walk from most things one would want to visit.
Breakfast items not replenished so ran out towards end of time.
Location, staff very friendly
Wifi was slow
This hotel is well located. Kind service.
Despite the breakfast is good, could be better if they include eggs ans warm food. The orange juice machine is a bottleneck that can be solved replacing it for a more efficient machine.
hotel keeps its promises very good staff good location
noisy even if the windows are closed parking
Great location, air conditioning, comfortable bed, clean room
Staff at check in-we just needed directions to the nearest car park and they would not give us directions before we dug out our passports, filled out paperwork and checked in. This was stressful and a bad start to our stay as there was no parking available in front of the hotel.
Staff, wifi free
Noisy bar in side street late into night fri sat
The location was only a couple blocks from the Ribeira district and the Douro River. There are many shops and restaurant nearby. The front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. We did not have in depth interaction with the other hotel staff but all would greet us. We had an awesome view of the Douro River. Our room, #502, was very cleaned upon check in and everyday during our 3 nights stay. The beds were not posh but comfortable. The wi-fi signal was strong. We did not have any problem with the wi-fi while there. Almost everyone we encountered during our stay in Porto and Lisbon were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel da Bolsa and in Porto and Lisbon.
Location and value
Wifi not great downstairs Business computer not working Limited bar menu
Central, good staff, comfortable excellent wifi.
Location was perfect.
Hotel had a lovely bar but it wasn't staffed during the day. Bathroom was very small on second visit (booked at short notice)
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good. It was clean. The bed was nice and big.
The room had a lot of problems. Just one chair at the desk. There was only one outlet for the computer and to charge our cells, without unplugging the clock. There was no way to take a shower without getting water all over the floor. The Wi-Fi, while fast when it worked, kept cutting out. My wife was charged some six dollars for one cup of tea in the bar. The hotel was not an easy walk from anything. There was little space to put anything on the sink. The main restaurant was closed on Sunday and there were no other full service restaurants nearby. The hotel did not have a shop to buy things like snacks, reading material and toilet articles. If there was an ice machine, we couldn't find it.
What was there not to like even had good weather!!!!
Location was great and this is very important in Porto. Staff friendly and room very good. View was pretty ordinary.
Bar was lovely and comfortable but was mostly closed during the day when it would have been ideal for a coffee break.
Very central, excellent welcome and helpful staff.
Mattress was very hard but rearranged the bedding and it was fine
Location, clean, friendly staff and a nice large breakfast buffet.
Slightly noisy rooms, but that's inherent to the location right in the center of Porto
Excellent hotel! Very professional and friendly staff, very good location. Absolutely among the best of three -star hotels.
There was nothing to be disappointed at all.
clean rooms, friendly people
The Bolsa is excellent value located centrally to all the main areas of interest. The staff are most helpful, and very efficient. The rooms are comfortable and the bar is attractive, with good service and very reasonable prices. There is a top class restaurant and a traditional cafe for breakfast (if you are not on a breakfast package) just across the road. It is less than a five minute walk to the riverside or the bridge which takes you over to the Port Houses
Hotel's location is very convenient to the Ribeira, restaurants, and historical sites. We were able to explore Porto on foot while negotiating those steep hills. Staff was friendly and helpful; suggested routes that minimized the number of steep hills we had to climb. Room was clean.
Room overlooked a noisy street making it somewhat difficult to get a good night's sleep. Cost of breakfast was a bit high; other hotels we stayed in charged a lower price for a similar quality of breakfast.
