Hotel da Galé was built in 1998 and is located in Cerro da Piedade, the highest part of Albufeira, about 300m from the city centre.

It has a fantastic view over the sea and the Algarve coast - we would even go as far as to say it is the best view in the entire Algarve.

The hotel also has special Summer offers. These offers are applicable if you make a reservation for 7 or 14 days.

Deposit

50 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.

Hotel da Galé is a small beach hotel. Its style is very Portuguese, and it has 60 double and triple rooms, with or without a balcony, and almost all with a lovely sea view.

All rooms have their own private bathroom with bathtub, a telephone, safety box and cable TV.

Our swimming pool is located on one of the terraces, alongside a natural solarium with sun lounges.

The top floor is home to the Navy Bar, with its amazing panoramic view.
This is where we serve breakfast and where you can find a friendly relaxing atmosphere right through to until midnight, with background music to soothe you as you gaze out to sea and across the marvellous Albufeira coastline.

Area information

Peneco Beach is less than 150m away, and the hotel is just 100m away from the new Albufeira Marina.

There are two tennis courts at 20m from the hotel, which we will be happy to book for you if you are interested in playing tennis.

If you prefer to play golf, our receptionists can make bookings for you at one of the golf courses nearby.

The Algarve is one of the tourist destinations which enjoys an excellent location on the European panorama.

It is just a 2 or 3 hours flight from Europe’s main capitals. That fact, combined with the region’s superb climate, makes it one of the top attractions for golfers from all over the world.

The pool and the sea view!

All other else. Very noisy hotel, without clean towells, hot watter
during the day and breakfast...YUCK!

The roof terrace

The hotel was fine but our room was damp & smelt musty - nothing ever
dried - consequently damp towels and beachwear

Room dirty, towels broken, no air conditioning, poor breakfast, plugs
for electricity our of order. Too much expansive (100€!). hotel doesn't
worth more than 30€ per night!

The view was really nice. The pool area was on the roof top and
also nice.

The hotel was hot and the staff was terrible. Our room was dirty and the
sheets looked like they had not been changed. The toilet seat was off,
yiou had re-adjust it to use it. The bath tub was dirty and the room
smelled like smoke. We have a two year old daughter and the stairs were
unsafe and steep. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

White mediterranean building, remember me the past time in Greece. Pool in the top - unbelieved sun shine.

for the price, breakfast is enough , but I'll be satisfied with some fruit.

all of it and breakfast is a joke a full english nearby costs less for anyone with small children the hotel is very dangerous many sharp steps poor lighting

my bed was soiled with fresh and dried blood staines on the top cover,there was only one light bulb working in the room,the towel rail in bathroom was hanging off with nails sticking out,there was no hot water on the first day,and the shower rail was broken and left dangling in the shower,it took till 20,00hrs on my second day for all faults to be done,the last one being the bed cover.

The view from the terrace is wonderful.That's about it...

The water pipes. Noisy. The bar was never open. The staff could bearly make themselves understood in english. Breakfast only bread and jam.

Lots of hot water for showering.

The sheets on our bed were dirty this time, but the staff changed them right away and the new sheets were immaculate.

The hotel is very quiet and set away from all the tourist traps. It's
good for people who dont plan on spending much time at the hotel.

The hotel is nice and quiet. The only thing that needs updating are the
bathrooms. The shower curtains have been the same for over two years and
they still have mold and mildew over them. There was also not hot water.

I think there was the best view over Albufeira town from the caffeteria on the roof of the hotel. The beach and the old town where really close.

It had nice views of Albufeira. It was reasonably quiet.

The hotel is in need of refurbishment.
The power socket in the room was hanging out of the wall.
Whilst I stayed there, the hot water pipe sprang a serious leak. The cold water pipe had water stains indicating that it was leaking also.
