The room was very good size.The location because of the sea was wonderfull.Pool area was lovely.Breakfast was ok. We asked for extra service,that we usually get everywhere (kettle),but staff couldn`t help us. |

Excellent location to the sea ,walking ,golf,restaurants,buses.Pool not crowded and newly done up rooms. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room and food @ dinner no great choices. |

absolutely nothing it was crap and overpriced and full of old people and the food looked like something you might and i say just might feed your dog. a one star hotel charging exorbitant fees for really crap rooms and really crap service. The pictures on the internet have been digitally enhanced nothing is what you see |

Location was suberb, lovely very clean beach. I really do not understand hotel policy on room allocations.The hotel was no more than 50% occupancy, yet i was allocated a room right outside the lifts and stairwell. It made my experience of the hotel a very noisey one ! |

We liked that we had a room with balcony and seaview. The hotel is very well placed, practically on the beach, and surrounded by restaurants, cafés and all kinds of little shops. The breakfast was excellent. The room was too small; the shower tub was clogged and always overflowing. We called the maintenance, but the guy couldn't fix the problem. Wi-Fi was only available at the reception area and at an outrageous rate. In these times, Internet should be free in hotels and available in every room. |

We had the balcony suite sea view room and it was very nice!! The staff was also very helpful and friendly!! The Breakfast Buffet was delicious!! |

proximity to the beach, nice walk ways outside the hotel. Breakfast choice very poor and repetative, dinner choices were poor and the food was bland and tasteless. No internet in the rooms. Air conditioning not adequet when temperatures go above 33 degrees. |

The reception staff. They were excellent really: very helpful and obliging with a positive, "can do" attitude towards patrons. The room was also terrific: clean, spacious and very comfortable. The food was really extremely poor, something almost all the other reviewers seem to highlight. The hotel must sort this out, frankly. One gets the sense that this is where the hotel is attempting to cut costs - dramatically. One could tell every single aspect of the food was the lowest cost option, and quality suffered as a result. I was very disappointed with the restaurant. |

We stayed in a lovely new sea view room which was spotless and for value for money was very good. We had coffee in the bar and it was terrible we did not sample any food in the hotel because we were so put off if this was going to be the standard. |

We used the hotel as a stopover prior to flying home after a holiday in Portugal. It was more a hotel for older people and it was adequate for my needs. I couldn't have the breakfast I had paid for because I needed to leave at 7.30a.m. to get my flight. I |

The modern bright room; the friendly staff and the location of the hotel - very close to the beach The food and restaurant did not meet expectations. The restaurant is more reminiscent of a school canteen with food just a few notches above this. Would recommend bed and breakfast but definitely NOT half board! |

The View I felt like I was staying at a retirement Village. Perhaps you should make it known on the Internet that Hotel Dom Jose is exclusively for old people. |
