Very friendly and helpfull staff. Good Location, 10 mn from center of Lisboa. Pretty nice and comfortable. But it's more a 4 than 5 stars hotel. Breakfast, internet and swimming pool are extra charges, so the total price is not that cheap. Breakfast is really expensive regarding to quality (19 euro!) : industrial fruit juice that taste no good, filter coffee, not much portuguese food (except pasteis de nata, but they're better and cheaper in town) Internet coasts 10 euro a day!!! They don't mention on booking.com that swimming pool and sauna are not included, you have to ay an entry for the spa to use it !

The hotel was a touch too far from the city centre for walking, taking a taxi was the only means of easy access.

It was a top class hotel with wonderful staff. The service and food were excellent. We were given an upgrade when they learned we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The view over the city from our bedroom was fantastic. It was excellent value for the services we received. We had no complaints apart from the location. The hotel is atop a very steep hill but in fairness taxis were cheap and buses passed the hotel regularly

The hotel was beautiful and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, especially our concierge Duarte. He made excellent recommendations and reservations for dinner for us each night. The breakfast was sumptuous. We were disappointed in the spa facilities. They were unable to accommodate us for a massage and the facilities did not open the hours the front desk had specified.

The view over the Tagus was exceptional The bedding was extremely uncomfortable and both myself and my girlfriend suffered rashes as a result of the powder used to clean the bedding. I was also disappointed that there was no tea and coffee in the room and no iron. I was disappointed that i couldn't use the gym without paying an extra supplement.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff at the reception desk; always willing to go the extra miles to support customers. Suite was big and the view over Lisbon is fantastic (ask for a room facing south as otherwise you will be at the back of the hotel with almost no sun and view). Location is ok and even if not right in the "center", a cab ride to Bairo alto costs 5 euros, so it is not an issue. Spa / Gym clean Spa is undersized for a "Palace" hotel and very disorganized (lack of lockers, lack of space) but staff very friendly and helpful. Italian restaurant dramatically overpriced compare to the city standard (go to Mezzaluna restaurant which is a jewel 10 minutes walk away from the hotel). Worst bit came from the bistro bar restaurant in the lobby floor: on new years eve, we were a party of 4 and got told at 9.30 pm that we had to wait 10 minutes for a table and then could order "a la carte"(please note that it was not busy as they were having a main party upstairs). We got a table 30 minutes later to be told at 11 that the kitchen was closed and the we could only get snacks...similar thing happened on the 1st jan where reception indicated that we could order from the bistro (2 of us), but got told that the kitchen was closed by waiters. There seems to be either a lack of staff or lack of communication but we ended up eating outside when we wanted to give them business...Palace is a prestigious name to bear and Dom Pedro is not there yet. Again, rates are competitive so you get what you pay for.

The hotel is elegant and comfortable, providing all the facilities expected from a 5* rating. The reception desk staff were welcoming and helpful and were happy to answer our queries about the city, transport, etc. We booked this hotel partly because of the rate and partly because gym and pool/spa facilties were available. Although the gym is small, it is adequate and free. Be aware though that access to the pool/spa costs 15 euros. There are weekly offers in the beauty salon and the therapists are clearly well qualified. We were disappointed that the level of waiting service dropped at breakfast following the arrival of a large Russian delegation at the start of our second week in the hotel. There had obviously been a change in staff rota and the new team did not seem as attentive as the previous one. Petty - probably - but it spoiled the 'magic' of the personal touch.

Staff is very good. Location. Clean, big, comfortable rooms. We had access to VIP lounge, beautiful views, coffee, tea, water. Could have a few snacks. Hotel at this price range that charges extra for Wi-fi internet is absurd! On top of that, they charge for a towel (you cannot bring your own) at the SPA (2 miniature saunas). It sounds cheap for a good quality hotel.

The room is spacious and amenities in the room adequate, although a hot water flask would be good for guests to make a hot drink after a day out. Although the window view from my room is not blocked, we could hear construction and machinery noise early in the morning. Also, we could hear children's voices from our room but could not pinpoint where they came from - could it perhaps be from the vent or from the next room or surrounding?
