Close to city center .Walkable. Very near to public transport, grocery shops to buy some water/fruits.
Breakfast could be better with more options.
We booked very last minute on the same day late at night after been locked out of our flat therefore for something unexpected it was just fine. Welcome was great, they expected us on arrival and everything was explained on how the hotel worked. We were offered a drink at the bar (upselling) and in general a good first impression in regards to staff. The hotel itself, decoration and ambience was slightly old fashioned, and nothing you will remember or that will "wow" you but everything was clean.
For such a short stay there wasn't much we used or needed. Our only Suggestion to the hotel would be, work on the toilets in the rooms! No amenities, and a feeling of dirt even though it was spotless.
A middle aged , silver haired gentleman, was most helpful , the only Portuguese person on the reception staff.
Being asked to pay for the stay when checking in - never, have I encountered this before, at any hotel I have stayed in. The Indian reception staff, were rude, and arrogant. Incense is not the smell I associate with a Portuguese hotel , but when the Indian staff were on duty, it was always present.
staff very friendly
bedroom not clean full of dust ,bathroom dirt (bad smell). not enough towels on first night.breakfast was ok but coffee was cold all the time
Most of things
The placement of the hotel was perfect, close from the subway station Intendente (which you reach direct from the airport, with just to change the subway line once) and the rich point to find the hotel is the kebab house "Alibaba" (close to the train station) then it´s just to follow the street stright a head. You also have a grocery store and even Lidl :-)
The night staff at the hotel was bored and gave no good service at all in terms of tips on events and restaurant advice for the guests etc. but it did thankfully day staff. "Owner" (day manager) was not too friendly either. Breakfast consisted of coffee, tea and freshly baked bread, but otherwise it was very sparingly with accessories.
Outstanding location - 50 meters to Metro and 2 stops on Metro to main plaza. Mr. Silva went out of his way to help us.
1)Breakfast You can chose many teypes of bread and fruite! Hot milk, Hot chocolate also prepared. I've never seen such quality in this cost in Portugal. 2)Clean The buildings are looks old but anyway, clean is the best. As same level as Buisiness Hotels in Japan. Bath room, towel, soap, tissues are clean. 3)TV You can watch Portugal TV on your own room. 4)Staff The staff was very polite and friendly enough to teach you around the city, good restaurant for dinner. They could call me a taxi to the airport at 3 o'clock in the midnight. 5)General store There is friendly general store 100m from the Hostel. You can buy Portugal wine 0.99 Euro! and enjoy in your room.
1)Elevator It's small and slow elevator. 2)Noize You could hear small noize from next door but it's not botthering.
I liked everything. I have stayed at this hotel several time. I is my favorite Lisbon-hotel.
Torn curtains, door broken, no plugs in sink or bath, shower was filthy. Toilet seat chipped and needed replacing, tiny room. Breakfast appalling, very poor. Coffee tepid, food of poorest quality. Seemed more suited to a homeless shelter than a €60 per night hotel. Rough area. Avoid at all costs.
The size of the room was and bathroom were very comfortable.
The breakfast was very basic and the coffee was undrinkable.
Location. 10 minute walk to center Breakfast was good Front desk staff very helpful
Wifi only worked in certain areas of the room Bathtub was oxidized really badly so it gave it a dirty feeling even though it was clean Air conditioning took a while to cool down
NIce place, close to main actractions, shops and metro :). Clean rooms, nice staf.
A little bit old bathroom, poor breakfast: only cheese, ham no vegetables.
about 5 mins walk to city centre, just off the main street so very quiet in the evenings good nights sleep
rooms were basic but very clean, shower was very good, breakfast was ok,could do with investing in a new toaster as the thing only worked sometimes.
Location was not bad, 20 min away from the castle on foot and about 15 min to all the shopping places. Free parking is also nice.
I've expected more from a 3* hotel, at least untorn towels, more helpful staff and a little more cleanliness. Wifi worked properly only in the lobby, even when you go to the patio, its not hitting it well. Breakfast very limited even for a 3* hotel. Overall impression - not so much, there are better options for the same or even lower price.
location was great Free parking was good
wifi did not work in the room as advertised. air conditioning did not work. Black mold in bath room
the location is in a fun neighborhood. the staff was great.they help us out with direction and other thing, could not beat it for the price.
the air conditioner did not work for most of the time, with 90% humidity,we needed to buy a fan.Bathroom could use a vent. the bed were uncomfortable Needed to be at least turn.
Ok location, 10mins walk to Rossio sq. Intendente metro literally 30secs away. Friendly & helpful reception staff.
There were some funny stains on the wall of our room. Otherwise that's it.
Garage for parking your car
On arrival, we were met and greeted by a friendly person at the front desk. Our family room was clean, comfortable and quiet which suited us as we were on a short stopover and needed to catch up on some sleep. The location of the hotel was central enough for us. Breakfast was adequate and good. I feel that the hotel was value for money as a 3 star establishment.
Although we were satisfied with our short stay, it offers basic, fuss free accommodation and would not be suitable for a longer family holiday.
There was nothing to like in this hotel. They even leave the lights off on the stairs so you cant even see where you are going.
I did not like anything .
- 200 meters from subway station - clean - they let us use the garage after we checked out
- garage very narrow, hard to drive in and out
