Duas Torres  

Room was comfortable and clean the only thing was toilet had a constant bad smell. Had to keep door always closed. The pool area was nice and locatiOn was perfect the hotel is Peacel

The hotel was perfect for us because, we were visiting family so we wanted a self cattering hotel. Our room on the 6th floor was lovely with views out to sea from our balcony where we enjoyed our breakfast. Also just across the road was the Madeira Forum which had all the shops , cafes, and a great supermarket for all our needs. The walk into Funchal took about 40 minutes. Plus the hotel is right by the costal path to walk to Lido one way & Camer do Lobes the othetr way of which we done both. We will defirnately stay here again.

Great location next to the sea, the only budget hotel in this type of location.Excellent pool area overlooking the sea. Rooms are basic but spacious , balcony views great. On the bus route from the airport and regular buses into central Funchal. Excellent shopping centre with supermarket aross the road. Excellent value for money .

Everything was really great! Very friendly staff, very comfortable room. Kitchen was with all necessary aplliances, and the balcony....the view was terrific...mountains....city and the ocean. Also there was a swimming pool there, and of course the beach three minutes away. Also I can't but mention breakfast, the choice of food was great. At first we wanted to save money and prepare breakfast ourselves, as there was a kitchen in the room, but then we decided not to do that. As food was really tasty and good. Also there is a shopping center right next to the hotel with the cinema, free wi-fi and all kind of shops. And lots of restaurants. By the way, there was a bus stop next to the hotel were not only city buses stopped, but also touristic once. So I really recommend staying at the hotel. We spend there our honeymoon and it was great!!!!

Great view of the ocean, the kitchenette (stove-top, small refrigerator, and microwave) was nice to have. Nice size room and balcony to sit. For 42 euros a night you can't beat it. The airport bus stops right in front of the hotel so for 5 euros each you can get back and forth (it runs about once an hour) They also have many different public busses that go into Funchal for about 2 euros each. (about 15 min) The red/yellow double decker tour busses also stop at this bus stop. The front desk does speak basic English and are very happy to help. Don't pay the 5.50 euro for breakfast, there is a great coffee/pastry shop across the street you can get a coffee and sweet pastry/doughnut for 2 euros and change. There is also a great grocery store where we bought stuff for sandwiches that saved on our lunch bill. It's in the mall across the street (Pingo Doce is the name of the store)

Not a 3 * hotel, much more of a 2*. The beds in the twin room cannot be pushed together to make a king. They are on the hard side, but not completely uncomfortable. TV is in the kitchenette/living room and is small. The couch is not comfortable to watch tv/snuggle with wife. Don't take the airport bus is you're scared of crazy drivers who fly around hairpin turns (we feared for our life a few times). Not within walking distance of town- it would have been more than an hour walk. (it costs about 8 euros to get back in a taxi)

Nous disposions d'une chambre avec kitchenette au 5e étage en front de mer. Superbe! De très nombreux bus nous conduisaient au centre de la ville. Le supermarché en face de l'hôtel nous a permis de nous approvisionner facilement et donc de cuisiner dans notre kitchenette. Nous avons pris tous nos repas sur le balcon en front de mer.

Parfois nettoyage de la chambre un peu sommaire, mais rien de grave.
