It was really right desigion to choose this hotel,it has only 20 rooms,located in quite place of Funchal,10 min. by walk to the well-known Formosa beach,area with banks,supermarkets and Forum Madeira mall,bust the most important-great service in this hotel maked my stay fantastic,very helpful stuff,stunning sea view from my room,good rich brekfast,for shure will return to this hotel in future. |

Good location, with only twenty rooms always plenty tables at breakfast & usually having the pool to youself. Road works near the hotel resulting in a small detour when returning. |

Staff very friendly and welcoming but also professional. Hotel run to very high standard but guests able to relax, staff get the balance just right. |

Everything was working as it should be and the service was good. The hotel was in a quiet place without any noise from traffic. The rooms had nice view over the sea, although the hotel wasn't right in the coastline. The breakfast was very good. The hotel was quite far from the Funchal center and the swimming pool was very small. |

Being part of a hotel teaching complex everything had to be ´perfect` this meant that comfort and friendlyness was sacrificed for efficiency. |

It has a great location! Especially for people who likes walk (road by step to the centre of Funshal takes about 30-40 min). Near to the Hotel there was a bank (BES), a farmacia, 2 supermarkets, a Promenade zone.. The room was very clean and has a great view. Breakfast in the Hotel was very various. The Internet access was ver important for me. The hotel description was said that it is in each room. But actually it was only in a bar and in a Hotel lobby. I wish it will be in the room. |

The people at the front desk where very helpful and friendly, the room was cleaned thorough and with perfect timing, the rooms have a good size plus the distance to Funchal is very doable when you have a rental car. Very good price / value deal. The breakfast could be more diverse and the staff during the breakfast (I think students so they are somewhat forgiven) is looking at you all the time with more staff than guests. The hotel is also rather difficult to find when you arrive at an island like Madeira (allthough that ismore or less an island itself issue). Small pool for a 4 star hotel... |

staff at reception was very helpful (also with hospital emergency), solid breakfast, waiters in restaurant were absolutely fabulous, very quiet area of town, not far to the famous rock beach (800 m to the sea) the city bus is 400m, it wouldn't matter for us, but since we were sick it was heavy 400m of walking;) distance to city centre is not so good |

Rustige locatie, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, prijs/kwaliteit van het hotel en diner is uitstekend, supermarkt en bushalte nabij, Ontbijt was goed maar, is in Hollandse hotels uitgebreider. |

Estupenda relación precio-calidad y servicio atento y educado. La situación es buena para tenerlo como base de operaciones, conectar con la vía rápida y conocer la isla, pero mejor con coche de alquiler. De todas formas se tarda una hora en llegar a Funchal caminando. El desayuno es muy bueno y las instalaciones muy agradables. Es un hotel pequeño y tranquilo con una piscina no muy grande pero siempre vacía. Cenamos un día allí y también muy bien. Nada, pero lo que más echamos de menos fue tener un ordenador a disposición del público para conectarnos a Internet. Cuesta poco y facilita mucho las cosas a los clientes. |

- Nähe von Funchal, kostenloser Shuttlebus nach Funchal, ruhig gelegen. Jetzt nach neu erschlossenen Straßen sehr einfache Zufahrt zum Hotel. Wunderschöne Aussicht aufs Meer, Restaurants mit nationaler Küche in der Nähe. Handtücher für Pool und Bademantel vorhanden. Frische, auch exotische Früchte beim Frühstücksbuffet. Sehr freundliches Personal. Super war, dass uns das Hotel im Vorfeld eine Zufahrtsbeschreibung gemailt hat. Die mit Schaumgummiflocken gefüllten Kopfkissen empfanden wir als etwas unangenehm. Ist das portugiesischer Standard? Und wir haben beim Frühstücksbuffet knuspriges Baguette und Tomaten vermisst. Mehr Abwechslung beim Käse wäre auch schön gewesen. Das Rührei mit Speck war nicht immer heiß. Aber das sind Kleinigkeiten. Für den süßen Geschmack war genug da (Cerealien, Kuchen, Früchte, Joghurt, Säfte...) |

Destacaría la relación calidad-precio; la amabilidad y atención del personal, habitación con terraza con vistas al mar. Un hotel tranquilo, con muy buena cocina. La limpieza del baño dejaba que desear. No le vendría mal una pequeña reforma del baño (bañera esconchada, suelo con manchas que ya no salen,...) |

Hotel bem situado, fora da confusão da Estrada Monumental, embora relativamente perto. Tranquilidade absoluta! Pessoal muito simpático. Pequenos almoços muito bons e tranquilos. Não, aliás já é a segunda vez que fico hospedada no Hotel Escola. |

Widok na ocean, nie był zatłoczony, basen, szybka obsługa, chęć pomocy gościom, spokój, zapewniony transport do centrum Monotonne śniadania, krepująca obecność zbyt wielu kelnerów podczas posiłków, mrówki w pokoju, mały basen. Niski standard jak na czterogwiazdkowy hotel. |
