Fantastic service! When we arrived, we were greeeted by Susanna (don't know if proper spelling) who then checked us in (we were upgraded to a suite), showed us our room and answered all of the questions we had about the area. I must say that the staff there is incredibly knowledgeable (history of Obidos) and provided great suggestions during our stay. The room was incredibly clean and the pastires at breakfast were fresh! THIS IS NOT A NEGATIVE - but be aware that the restaurant only serves dinner for groups. The staff will give great suggestions for local restaurants w/ great food though. |

The restaurant was realy interesting, giving a feeling of coming back in time, such as visiting a castle. The lack of a parking lot nearby is somewhat restrictive |

The staff was very nice. The location right outside of the walled town was convenient. We liked that we were upgraded to a suite and that the hotel was a converted convent. |

Staff was very personable....helped us a great deal with a medical crisis.....got doctor within a half hour....interpreted for us. Since my husband was ill, it might have been nice if given some lee way in booking for a third night. We would have had to pay and book for the night in the morning of the day before....not knowing how my husband would feel to travel the next day. Even the ability to wait until a few hours into the day before, would have been appreciated. We had already prepaid for two nights. The staff was excellent...only following policy. |

Overl style of the hotel was very good and the room felt rustic and beds very comfortable. Only down side was the smell of drains that wafted up through the bathroom over night but did confine itself to the bathroom. Breakfast very good value and the waiter (who speaks 7 lanuages and has worked over Europe for 17 yrs) was very good and friendly. Smell of drains in the bathroom on the odd occasion. |
