Restaurant a bit expensive but good food.

The Hotel is not the most luxurious. There is nothing there for kids to do.There is no bar bouncing till 4am. There is no swimming pool. But boy oh boy what a view. The staff are superb and the food excellent, It is away from the hustle and bustle and tourist trap that is Funchal. The place is a diamond on this earth, even if its a quiet one!! Loved it

The sauna was not working, the restaurant is above the rooms and therefore you can hear every step or scaped chair. Really minor points that are toaly outweighed by location location location!!!!

The view from the restaurant was stupendous: I doubt there are a dozen restaurants in the world that could match this vista. The evening meals wer good. The staff were, without exception, charming.

The room was on a lower floor and had a 'dungeon' feel to it. I think a relatively modest 'makeover' could make such a difference. Breakfast was a bit basic; no excuse for lukewarm coffee. It was a little annoying that the Jacuzzi was being cleaned at 5.00pm one evening when we tried to use it and then locked up when we tried to access it before breakfast 1 morning!!

View, peace, nature. If you are interested of nature and not very demanding of hotel quality, it is a right place for you. It was lovely to walk around. And food at restaurant was really good (during breakfast just tolerable)

There is no 24-Hour Front Desk: You have to find somebody from restaurant. I tried to go out walking in the morning, door was closed and there was nobody to ask open it. Sauna never worked; water of jacuzzi was not clean. When we checked out, a guy from restaurant was not able to use our credit card. While asking of walking, only recommendation was to buy a book from shop.

gostei do hotel em geral o atendimento foi eximio o jacuzzi perfeito e entao a vista n tenho palavras. optimo para fugir da rotina e descansar

dans cet hôtel j'ai bien aimé le confort et la propreté de la chambre (tout en bois, déco fait assez montagne). d'ailleurs il se situe à 1000et quelque mètres d'altitude, la vue est magnifique et la terrasse est très grande. le prix est aussi vraiment bien car la chambre ne coute vraiment pas cher, en rapport de la propreté, de la grandeur de la chambre, terrasse, vue...35 euros.

si je dois dire quelque chose que je n'ai pas aimé, c'est l'accueil à l'hotel et dans les boutiques mais sinon dans l'ensemble c'est un hotel que je recommande.
