This is a 'pousada' so the standards are high. The view from the room of the Douro River Canyon is fantastic. The meals are wonderful too. Cold buffet breakfast of the usual meats, cheeses, rolls etc. The dinners were excellent. This hotel is reasonably priced. Very inexpensive for the service ands food that you get. Nothing to complain about at all.

The staff were friendly. The bedroom was spacious and the beds comfortable. There was plenty of choice for breakfast. The balcony provided a nice view across the Douro into Spain. It's just a few minutes walk into the old part of town. For the price we paid it would have been nice to find glasses rather than plastic cups in the bathroom - a minor niggle but it rankles nonetheless.

El personal es muy amable, y la ubicación maravillosa. Los sanitarios. Están limpios, pero son muy viejos. Creo que sería buena idea cambiarlos. No están a la altura del hotel.

Voormalige Pousada, maar nog steeds dezelfde luxe. Fantastisch hotel, klassiek ingericht maar van alle gemakken voorzien, met uitzich op het stuwmeer en -dam. Wij waren op doorreis en hebben er een nacht geslapen. Uitstekend gegeten voor een zeer vriendelijke prijs. Personeel service gericht. Aanrader.

Het hotel heeft een prachtig zicht over de Douro vallei, jammer is dat er vanalle rommel tussen het hotel en de rivier ligt (olietank, elektriciteitsdraden, enz.), maar het hotel heeft zijn inrichting wel zodanig gemaakt, dat als je zit, je dit niet ziet. Dus een goede plus. Verder een heel goed bed, zalig, eindelijk eens kussens waar je 's morgens niet van wakker wordt met nekpijn. Lekker ontbijt, met mooi uitzicht weer. Redelijk goede ligging, tussen het oude en nieuwe centrum, alles op wandelafstand. Ook goede parkeerfaciliteiten. De bediening was een beetje stuurs, er was niet altijd iemand in de receptie aanwezig, ik vermoed dat dit misschien ook wel te maken heeft met het laagseizoen.

Nous avons aimé la situation de l'hôtel ; et de notre chambre qui correspondait à nos souhaits. De beaux parquets, de belles boiseries, un établissement avec beaucoup de cachet doté de tout le confort moderne. Le petit déjeuner est sublime et dispense du déjeuner. Le restaurant le soir nous a offert une gamme de plats typiques de la région et du pays, très bons et copieux.

Mantenimiento del edificio casi igual que desd el año 1959. Es entrañable y un privilegio donde está situado, ya que domina el Duero desde cualquier habitación. Un poco elevado el precio.

Conforto e paisagem sobre o rio Douro e Barragem. A casa de banho tem sérias dificuldades na instalação de águas. As torneiras funcionam muito mal, não se conseguem fechar devidamente.

Interesante edificio de arquitectura internacional años 50, conservando el interiorismo de la época en muy buen estado. El edificio se construyó para alojar a los ingenieros que hicieron la presa. Servicio impecable.

Gostei de tudo. Maravilhoso hotel. Quartos de inacreditável conforto, vista esplêndida, pequeno almoço formidável. úM paraíso de tranquilidade e verdadeiro conforto. Para o que é, baratíssimo.Talvez por ser inverno estava vazio. Até dava pena tanta qualidade desprdiçada. Ideal para descansar. A qualidade da decoração, a qualidade do mobiliário, etc já não existe nos hotéis modernos.

Estalagem tradicional, elegante e muito acolhedora. Vista transcendente sobre o rio Douro e a barragem. Sala de estar muito aconchegante, sobretudo agora no Inverno em que acendem a lareira.

Localização: excepcional; Simpatia dos funcionários; Lareira à noite; Pequeno almoço: razoável. A televisão. Muito poucos canais e má sintonia de alguns dos que eram apanhados. Perto da Estalagem, nomeadamente em cafés, a televisão era boa e apanhavam todos os canais pelo que o problema só podia ser da própria Estalagem.
