surroundings of the hotel are very picturesqe. Uninhabited and quiet (exept ocean - but it was nice) place. There are no beaches in Sao Vicente (only one - about 1 km along the road from the hotel - it's stony and not cosy). Usually tourists use bus to get (15-20 min) to the Porto Monish: nice, touristic and sunny sity with a comfortable beach. Sao Vicente maybe one of the best places to stay - but only if you have a car: there're few buses with a fix timetable. Pick up's for excursions - you can book them by phone, by internet (thou it worked badly...) or in Funchal - are only in Encumeada or Ribeira Brava. |

Location right on the sea shore is impressive. Nice pool and view. All rooms facing the seaside. Smart construction that corridors are on the street side avoiding noise. Hotel is indeed oldish style and ran down. Truly needs a revamp. But indeed the price was very attractive. Very basic breakfast, no frills. Bathroom did not have courtesy accessories, nor tissues. |

Quiet position on the island, nice location next to the sea. Friendly, polite receptionist. Like the eco policy for changing towels only when required by guests. Did not feel the standard was quite what I would recognize as 4 star - room nothing special and a bit tired looking, but good outlook. Nothing wrong exactly. Adequate breakfast for the price, but nicer fruit juice and bigger selection of fresh fruit would be nice. |

Very nice holiday in this hotel absolutely comfortabile and nice seaviev and mountains very clear good food more ofer for traveler and very good for romantik nice pool with jakuzzi and smol sauna good ofer for trip (best self car ) very good price mayby more milk produkts for breakfest (yogurth) in room more drawer in wardrobe |

I've stayed at this hotel several times and have never been disappointed; on the contrary I have thoroughly enjoyed my visits. The location, the rooms, the staff and the overall atmosphere are - in my view as a seasoned traveller - beyond reproach. One small thing - obtaining cold water from the tap in the bathroom is not possible; the hot and cold pipes obviously run close to each other. |

A localização à beira-mar é um previlégio para os sentidos, bem como o seu serviços de restauração e bar. Muito calmo e tranquilho, óptimo pra energizar. As alcatifas dos quartos, estão envelhecidas, e não são recomendáveis a pessoas com alergias...como eu, mas vale o esforço. |

o que gostei mais foi das piscinas e dos jardins. Não gostei do pequeno-almoço, tinha pouca variedade de alimentos. Não tinha Iogurte, fruta só tinha um tipo de fruta. |

La vue sur la mer déchaînée et le jacuzzi, quand on arrive à l'avoir ! Il y a tellement peu de choses à faire qu'il est prisé. La pisine intérieure est chauffée, c'est agréable de se baigner avec vue sur la mer. Personnel souriant. L'hôtel est dans le nord de l'île à 40 minutes de Funchal donc éloigné de toute activité et il y a très peu de choses à faire autour de Sao Vicente, on s'ennuie vite, c'est un peu perdu en fait. Ce n'est absolument pas un 4 étoiles, les chambres sont déprimantes à souhait. C'est très très vieillot, c'est très surprenant compte tenu de sa classification... Cet hôtel passe pour 1 ou 2 nuits de transit et repos mais pas comme pied à terre pour des vacances à Madère. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est hors de prix et le petit déjeuner un peu juste pour un "4 étoiles". |

Localização, pequeno almoço bom, relação preço/qualidade razoável. Penso que a Estalagem, no seu todo, necessita de uma remoldelação geral, no mobiliário e nas casas de banho. Existem também, portas e janelas em alumínio que virados para a zona da piscina que não estão em condições, algumas mal fecham. Não havia sabonete na casa de banho para lavar as mãos. |

Les tarifs attractifs, les activités gratuites (billards, tennis, piscine, jaccuzi, sauna), la disponibilité et le sourire (pas forcé) de tout le personnel. Enfin l'établissement n'est pas tres grand, ce n'est pas l'industrie, on s'y sent bien |

O espaço físico é muito bom, em termos de áreas. É um bom local para descansar, recuperar do stress do dia a dia. Deveria ser todo remodulado, visto que já tem muitos anos e não foram efectuadas obras para modernizar os espaços comuns e quartos. O pequeno almoço poderia ser mais diversificado. |
