Furthermore there are 2 bars: one is the "Colombo Bistro" in the pool area, which is surrounded by mango trees, tropical plants and flowers, and where we serve light meals and salads. The other one is the "Viscionde" near the reception area, and this is the perfect place for an aperitive and a night cap.
Half board includes a cold starter, consome, fish dish, meat dish and desert.
This menu changes everyday and drinks are not included.

The gardens, the swimming pool and the views were absolutely fantastic. One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever been to (and I do travel a lot). Breakfast was also very good. It is located in the outskirts of Funchal and you do need a car (or taxis) to get there. Free parking is available. Our room had a "funny/bad" smell and I couldn't figure out why (but we didn't complain). Also, although breakfast was great, the coffee was not very good (a pity for such a good hotel). And just a small suggestion: upon arrival (around 11:00), our room was not ready yet, which is perfectly acceptable, and we had a coffee by the pool while waiting. We had to pay for the coffee (which I also find perfectly normal) but if it had been "offered by the house" it would have been a delighter. |

A beautiful, well maintained facility. Great location away from the bustle of the downtown/promenade area. Perfect for a relaxing get away. Colombo was very charming. The barbecue dinner at pool side with entertainment was beautiful, the breakfasts perfect. An ideal base to explore the wonders of Madeira Island. The hotel staff, while very helpful and polite, were stretched thin especially the front desk personnel. This is not a criticism of the staff but rather of the hotel management. There is also a problem with stray dogs in this residential area. During one night of our stay in August the dogs barked incessantly at night repeatedly waking us. |

The hotel is serene and calm, this was a totally stress-free break. Decorated in a classic style, beautifully clean and with attentive staff. The gardens and pool area are lovely. We paid for an upgraded room and it was worth the extra; we had additional space and a particularly well-positioned balcony with amazing views across the gardens and out to sea. It is a stiff walk back from town, although taxis are readily available. We're pretty fit and manged the walk back from town most evenings but it is steep! The hotel restaurant was fine for 1 night but not as sophisticated an offer as you might expect from an international 5*. And the restaurant service was friendly but not totally efficient. |

Calme, parc exeptionnel, personel à l'écoute présent et discret. Le cœur de ville est à proximité avec un service de navette trés pratique. Ambiance anglo-portugaise surprenante. Le manque de poissons frais et de crustacés sur la carte du déjeuner. |

Hem disfrutat molt de l'hotel, per la seva tranquilitat, atenció i l'habitació (gran i espaiosa amb una gran terrassa amb vistes als jardins). Es ideal per a desconectar de l'estrès diari. Els jardins són magnífics. Algunes instal.lacions una mica antiquades, s'haurien de renovar, així com el gimnàs pràcticament inexistent. |

Nous avons tout apprécié. De l'accueil au cadre en passant par la tanquilité, la décoration, l'authenticité portugaise, hors des lieux touristiques et un jardin merveilleux et propice à la détente. Franchement, je vais y retourner... C'est vrai aussi que nous avions pris une suite et que vous avez l'impression d'être chez vous. Petit déjeuner et diner parfait. |

Jardin très agréable, ainsi que le coin piscine. Hôtel très bien situé dans Funchal, à la fois proche du centre ville et de la voie express ce qui permet d'être très rapidement n'importe ou dans l'île. Nous recommandons une location e voiture. Nous recommmandons également la suite premium qui présente un très bon rapport qualité/prix (salon et chambre très vaste et balcon très agréable). |

La Quinta est bien située à quelques minutes en voiture du centre de Funchal, dans un environnement paysager enchanteur. Les espaces et la décoration intérieure sont raffinés, l'accueil attentif, les chambres spacieuses et lumineuses disposant d'une terrasse avec vue sur la montagne et le jardin. Le petit déjeuner était très appétissant, copieux et pris au coeur du jardin, un moment paisible pour bien démarrer la journée. |
