Wow! This hotel is fabulous - a true representation of 5star hotels. I was a bit dubious that a 5star hotel was so reasonably priced, but I needn´t have been. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and all speak English very well. The hotel lobby is beautiful and has plenty of lounges to sit in, and a small bar area which also serves light meals in the evening (by a very friendly and polite gentleman whose name I unfortunatley did not get). The room is enormous and contemporary. I requested a large bed when I made the booking as my husband is over 6ft and when I emailed a month before our arrival to confirm our booking, the hotel very quickly responded and advised they would give us a king bed, which they certainly did. The gym is well equipped, and the breakfast is fantastic - a huge variety of cold meats and cheeses, bacon and eggs, cereals, pastries (you must try the Portugese pastries!!!). Parking is underground, very secure, and reasonably priced. We had no wifi coverage in our room using our iphone, however we were happy to sit in the bar area and take advantage of the free niblies that came with our drinks and the fantastic service. The shower, whilst beautiful, is small - room only for one. If you are after a meal in the hotel, the restaurant does not open at night - you can choose from the small selection of light meals available in the bar, but as this hotel is such a short stroll to the inner city, you are better advised to walk there and dine in one of the many restaurants in the old town.

We enjoyed the location of the hotel, which had easy access to shops, restaurants and the city centre. It also had easy access to the hop-on hop-off bus which we used to access other sightseeing locations. We felt the hotel offered value for money. The hotel is located at the top of a hill, requiring a steep climb on the return to the hotel. It is quite manageable for fit people but might pose a problem for people with physical problems.

Very comfortable beds; room design - interesting choice of colors; excellent breakfast. Poor value for money - this is not a five-star hotel. The room was not as clean as it should have been and could use a refursbishment. What is more, the hotel staff was unable to correctly charge me the requested amount and they did not cancel the guarantee. When I wrote them about the pending transaction, instead of canceling it, they registered the guarantee again, leaving me with no alternative but to get in touch with my bank; three weeks after my stay at Eurostars and the transactions are still in pending...

Beds very comfortable and big. Great bathroom. Very clean, good location close to transport, but quiet at night. Lovely staff. Enjoyed our stay, would stay again. Good value for money. Breakfast was pretty good, service staff always smiling. Front desk check in etc very swift. We choose a package including transport etc, great way to see fabulous Lisbon.

Nice modern hotel. Although in the city centre it's not in a noisy area so that was good. Reasonable price. Internet was not available in the bedrooms. Unusual for an hotel in Portugal they had a kettle with tea bags and coffee in the room which would be good except there was no milk!

Hotel was modern and slick, all black white and silver. Staff was courteous and friendly, the public areas were small and would be crowded very quickly when busy, but that only happened once. The rooms were medium sized and well designed with good bathrooms. Some rooms had larger bathrooms with both tub and shower. The beds were comfortable and the linen fine. Any special requests were handled immediately. The included breakfast was good, a typical european spread of meats and cheeses with cereals danish doughnuts juices and a variety of eggs bacon etc. My only dislike of this hotel is that no one watched the details. Hooks missing from drapery rails, light bulbs out and the fact that there was not one drawer in the room only a closet with a couple of shelves, not enough if you are staying a few days.

All the hotel staff was extremely nice and polite (special mention for the evening lady), they booked our restaurants, taxis, etc.; polyglot (they were able to spoke english, spanish and of course portuguese!); breakfast amazing (specially queixo Serra da Estrela and bolinhos); cleaning staff very efficient and respectul (made our room while out for breakfast); room tastefully decorated with great views of old town and Sao Jorge castle; free wifi in the hotel and rooms; for english people, you will be delighted with the range of teas; in overall, an unforgeatable stay; Only very little points to improve: despite the quality breakfast, spanish ham was a bit hard and orange juice was concentrated and not freshly squeezed (sorry to be posh but it's a 5 stars hotel!); no agreeement with flight points programme (although they say they are working on it);

Great location, near Av. da Liberade (a major avenue in Lisbon), although in a quiet area (it'll take you less than 5min walking distance to the avenue, where you'll find luxury shops, restaurants, metro station, etc. This avenue leads you to historic city center areas, such as Chiado, S. Jorge Castle, Bairro Alto (fado restaurants and bars area at night). The staff was great! They're a major asset to the hotel! The hotel design is also very nice and modern.

Excellent Location, quiet. Good size rooms, beds very comfortable, excellent bathroom/showers. Free (and problem-free) Wi-fi. One of the best breakfasts - huge selction to choose from. Staff very helpful and friendly. Health centre did not live up to expections - v small and minimal equipment. Food in lobby bar boring and expensive - go to any of the cheaper local restaurants/cafes.

No problem - everything works. Guys at the reception are professionals, ready to help you with your request (was leaving the hotel for a meeting before breakfast time, they prepared a bag with sandwich and juice for me). The hotel is clean and calm, quite modern, free sauna (didn't try it, but nice option). Wifi connection much better than mentioned in the reviews, on the other hand I wouldn't call it stable :) Doors in the bathroom are quite heavy, could be a problem for older people.

The Eurostars Das Letras was a fantastic hotel. The service was really good (including a call just after booking and providing details as to the best ways to get to the hotel from the airport), the room was large, clean and comfortable, the location was good (close to some wonderful restaurants and the metro/aerobus). I would definitely recommend. Nothing. It was perfect.

There was a gym, tea/coffee facilities in the room, a floor-to-the-ceiling window which could go wide open and an absolutely wonderful bed. The location is great - close to all main attractions but quiet. The breakfast was very basic and the process was somewhat chaotic: they either had no plates or hot water etc, so I preferred ordering in-room. The kettle in the room should have an automatic switch-off - not only it's not convinient, but it's also not safe.
