Total attention to quality and comfort at a very competitive price. New facilities and furniture. Friendly, helpful and highly professional staff. The location required a slightly longer walk to center of city than some other hotels, but this trade-off was well worthwhile for the quality and price of the accommodation. We stayed in 6 hotels during our 14 night stay in Portugal - the Das Artes was both the cheapest and the best (only the Hotel Bairro Alto in Lisbon, at more than 3x the price, could compare).

Very comfortable modern hotel. Our room on the 1st floor faced onto the street but there was no noise as such. Huge bed, great size room and bathroom. We got a bus down to the river area and to see the sights otherwise it's a long uphill walk back to the hotel. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. Staff on reception were helpful - especially Marcia who was exceptionally nice. Breakfast was good with lots of choice for hot and cold food. No negatives.

Staff were great. Large bed in older part of building with high ceilings on quiet back side except for early wake up call from roosters

Although the hotel is situated away from the historical centre of Porto it is within easy walking distance of the centre and transport links. The hotel is excellent and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel room was spotless and everything in the room worked. The bed was large and very comfortable. Free safety deposit box in room. Excellent breakfast, including fruits, cereals, usual continental fare, and hot choice (scrambled egg, bacon, mushroom, tomato, sausage).Bar prices reasonable for a 4* hotel. Happy to recommend this hotel and would definately stay there again on our next trip to Porto.

Eurostars is tucked away in an arty district of Porto so there were very few tourists and the area was quiet at night. The hotel itself was stylish, minimal and comfortable- very clean! The continental breakfast was excellent (wide range of fresh juices/ fruit, breads/pastries, yogurt, cereals, toast, cheeses and meats) so if you’re looking for a greasy hot english breakfast you may be disappointed. If you’re like me you’ll appreciate the option to block out light for lazy mornings in bed and the roomy bath was also lovely for soaking tired feet after hours of walking around the old town. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us. I wouldn’t recommend eating dinner at the hotel (limited menu and rushed food) but unable to comment on room service which offered a much broader menu with a wider team of staff during the day.

The hotel was very nice, staff very helpful, and the room was always well kept. Breakfast was first class. The location was very convenient, walking distance, to shopping, the old town, and the river area. Maybe a 20 - 25 min walk across the river to the Port wine cellars. We were in the newer section and our room faced other buildings and homes. Together they formed a "u" shape that amplified the bird calls, dog barking, and rooster "wake up call" every morning. Not so bad if the heat/air conditioning was working, but difficult to sleep if not.

A bit of a walk to the "center" of town. Not unpleasant walk. If you need to buy some Porto wines make sure to ask the front desk where to go (10 min. Walking). Very old store and very knowledgable staff.

It is a small hotel, with a wonderfull location, specially when one is travelling withou a car. It has within walking distance, citty center, Porto's principal nightlife spots, plenty of shops and gallerys... I was expecting, from the outside looks of the building, something with a traditional touch...

Pleasant and efficient staff Their wireless Internet was so poor that it could only be used in the lobby. It would be more honest not to claim It was available in rooms. Even in the lobby, it was weak and dropped out often.

Computer facility is not good. Only one computer is available near reception desk and often this computer is occupied by any guest. I am a person who likes to read books in bed before sleeping. Therefore I expect appropriate lighting near my bed.
