This is a very comfortable and clean hotel and very good value. The buffet breakfast was included in the price and it had a wide choice of hot and cold dishes and it was very good. The view of the marina from our bedroom balcony was fantastic. The hotel is centrally located in the older part of Faro and there are lots of good restaurants nearby. It is just a 5 minutes walk away from the train station and the taxi ride from the airport was only 11 euros. We really liked Faro = it is a very pretty, small and relaxed city. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the Algarve and wanting to drive to the different beaches as they are not too far away if you have a car.

The hotel itself was stylish, clean and very well located. The rooftop pool was beautiful and very relaxing. There are balconies throughout the hotel where you can sit back and relax which I really enjoyed. My room was a superior room with seaviews which were really beautiful overlooking the marina and old parts of Faro which were lovely to wake up and go to sleep watching!! Although I enjoyed my stay overall in Hotel Eva there are a few things which I was unhappy with. When we arrived the receptionist was very rude and unhelpful. She left me standing in front of her while she flipped through pages in a file without even looking up, after another 10 mins trying to book us in she told us the room was not ready (this was not a problem as we arrived 2 hours before check in). When we came back we had to go through the whole process again and she never explained where the lifts/ restaurant/ pool were. I phoned later in the day asking about dinner reservations I was told "just go up". When we did go for dinner the view was beautiful over looking the lights and marina but the Vegetarian foood was disgusting. It was bland pasta with very few pine nuts and some stingy spinach and a vile cream sauce. When the waiter came to clear the plates he never asked what was wrong even though I left most of it. My boyfriend had a steak which he said was average. The restuarant did not provide value for money. Hotel Eva really needs to touch up on its staff training on how to welcome and take care of its guests!!

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was just as we hoped it would be (balcony and view of the marina), the food at breakfast was very good. Enjoyed the rooftop pool and ground floor health club too. All round it was a highly pleasurable experience. Would have been nice if the room was just a little bigger. Not much anyone can do about that.

The Hotel Eva is totally centrally located in the middle of Faro Town and is only 20 minutes on the No.16 Bus from Faro Airport. Fantastic Swimming Pool on the Rooftop with a 360 degree view over Faro Town, the Ria Formosa, the Marina, Railway Line & the Airport if you're a fan of Planes !!

We liked everything about this Hotel from the Cleanliness to the Helpfulness of the Staff. Pool was fabulous, restaurant was first class, and rooms were immaculate with daily maid service. Air conditioning was priceless as the weather was fantastic. Will definetly be returning to this hotel in the future. There is nothing we didn't like at all!

The breakfast choice was fabulous... The swimming pool on the roof terrace is really nice. It is especially enjoyable because the beach is not in the center of faro.

Nice bedrooms with view to marina, very clean and comfortable. The room service was perfect. Really enjoyed the breakfast they had lots of things to chose for. Staff were very friendly. Enjoyed the swimming pool, the turquish bath and sauna very refreshing experience after a very hot day in the deserted beach excursion. Will return with my kids

Hotel Eva is perfectly located on the Faro Marina. Within an easy 5 minute walk from a string of romantic quiet bars and restaurants, it's perfect for that weekend getaway so don't expect big pubs and clubs. The ease in which we also got about using the local train to Lagos and bus to the airport made our whole trip so easy. The room of course was clean and well presented and the staff were so very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the top balcony in the morning sun was more than adequate. I've had a lot of thought about this. The first moment we were introduced to the hotel reception area, it was clear that my expectations from a 4* £85 per night hotel were paralleled. However don't be deceived by the luxurious new reception area. I was largely disappointed with the quality of the rooms and it was more along the lines of a Travelodge or Holiday Inn. Don't get me wrong, the whole experience and cost was justified (given its location and proximity to food/cafe's and bars), but I felt let down by the star rating and the first impression which didn't last. I expected more luxury from this hotel. We were originally given a twin but this was rectified immediately (though I suspect this is an issue for booking.com and not the hotel). The continuous and late music in the hallways (presumably to create ambiance) was another issue that we felt strongly enough about to raise with reception. They were quite accommodating once we'd made them aware of the issue.

The location was excellent - if you get a room overlooking the marina, as we did. The staff were extremely helpful and always friendly. A slight issue: it was not clear at the time of booking that a room overlooking the marina would be 10 euros per night extra. In fact, from what we had read in other feedback (?tripadvisor) it seemed that the larger rooms (street side) were the more expensive ones.

I have stayed at the Hotel Eva many, many times in the past ten years; and I continue to do so because it excels in every respect. I can always count on a thoroughly pleasant and problem-free stay at the Eva. It's location at the marina and near the old town makes it a mini-vacation each visit. The receptionist when I arrived gave me a very cordial welcome, which is always appreciated.

Very good facility. Spacious suite with balcony overlooking the marina. We did not stay for the New Years Eve festivities in the city but were there when the band was rehersing, which was on the square out side the hotel and it shook the hotel with the speaker system employed. However, most of our stay for the 3 days before the New Years Eve, the hotel was very good place to stay.
